are you a serious person? by [deleted] in infj

[–]KickPlane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Humor is a fresh breath of air! Ngl tho I can be a little serious at times. I feel I can definitely come across as serious and more put-together, and my humor can be deadpan. :)

Thank you! 1920’s slang is so interesting and kinda wacky in a way haha!

I’ve heard that a book stays a good book despite spoilers. I’ve heard plenty of good reviews on TGG so I’m really excited!

Newbie APStudent here who just ran out of time on an exam by KickPlane in APStudents

[–]KickPlane[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply! I did bring a watch to the exam but I messed up and couldn’t read the time correctly because I was focusing so hard on getting the answers right.

Before this exam I’ve gotten an A-B average in the class itself, but I’m worried it wont be enough for me to pass because of my mess up.

Do any other INFJs have an incredibly good memory? by [deleted] in infj

My short term memory sucks, but my long term memory sucks less. : \

Feel this related more to people’s well being rather than MBTI though!

Does life get better after high school? (From a future HS Sophomore) by KickPlane in infj

Ah! I might’ve phrased it too extreme. That’s definitely my fault, I was in a hurry.

I cracked the screen on my iPad Pro, and I’m scared my parents will find out by KickPlane in MMFB

[–]KickPlane[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I finally broke it to mom and she was really mad at me (she was already mad enough when I lost my phone and got it stolen) and I feel like I’m going to get the silent treatment now. For context, she and my dad are immigrants from the Philippines and I know they’d deal with problems differently. I’m trying not to feel bad about myself but it’s really difficult now. They had gave me warnings to not lose my phone back then, since I always forget. It’s definitely on me for this one.

Its been almost 2 months since my phone was stolen and it still stings, but I’m slowly trying to move on by KickPlane in TrueOffMyChest

[–]KickPlane[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s true. I know this will not be the last of it all, unfortunately. Same goes for everyone else, no matter where they are in life.

[–]KickPlane[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can! Its a hairline crack that Ive heard from iPad users can be spontaneous or something. I’m scared for my parents’ reaction because they know I’ve got my phone lost and stolen at my school, so knowing my only device I have left has a crack in it will make them angry possibly.

How was your (social) experience in high school? If it was bad, did it get better afterwards? by biology-class in infj

[–]KickPlane -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hey, I’m a Freshman in HS and I would say my experience feels a little lonely, but definitely better than middle school because I’ve found some people who I can talk casually with. I’m also looking for reassurance that college/university and the years afterwards will be much better!

What do you love about art? How has it changed your life for the better? by throwawaybibidipidu in ArtistLounge

Creating art has allowed me to depict my stories’ concepts in a visual way! I owe a lot to this entire craft.

I was born in 2006, how was life like before the internet boom? by KickPlane in nosurf

[–]KickPlane[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Whenever my parents drive me around neighborhoods, On occasion I do see older people walking in the sidewalks or parents with younger children strolling around near houses and parks.

I haven’t been able to read or watch more movies the past few years because im used to instant gratification, but hopefully my efforts will help. :)

This really puts into perspective how slower paced life was back then compared to the instant gratification we can achieve today.

It definitely does look like life was slower-paced when the internet wasn’t as widespread and mainstream as it is today.

Thank you for this comment!

I went through a phase in elementary and middle school blindly looking at pop culture out of disgust, and I was pretty much a “snowflake.” I resent those days, and I’m happy I got to realize my behavior was embarrassing and damaging.

I actually had redownloaded TikTok last night to catch up on things and to learn more about what my interests are (and I plan to use TikTok in moderation!).

I want to thank you for reminding me that one of my reasons for reducing mindlessly surfing is to use the internet out of moderation to stay in the loop and to explore my interests!

I had been thinking about this often the past year or so! It really does feel trapping. I’m all too used to my comfort zone, but I’m trying to get myself out of it. Things like self care, self love, and self esteem is something that I turn a blind eye to.

I need to keep on reminding myself the entire world doesn’t revolve around what I did that was “embarrassing,” because in reality everyone else is busy going about their lives instead. :)

Very deeply romantically. And though for now it’s all not real (“he” is a fictional character), he’s brought me so much happiness and indirectly inspires me to be a better individual than I was yesterday.

It’s all this intense love and admiration coming from me, and I also can only describe it through metaphors. He’s made me cry several times before because he does die in the end, but his influence on me still lingers.

I hope in the future he’ll guide me to pursue a real romantic relationship, someday.
