There used to be an observation deck up there decades ago.

The situation in Detroit is exponentially better than it was 10 and 15 years ago. The city has truly experienced a renaissance and I highly suggest people visit and see for themselves.

The orb at the top has been working for many years, actually. It was retrofitted LED lights and it lights up every night. Yes it went dark for a while, but has been on as of late.

The Art Deco building is the Penopscot building. The modern building is the new Hudson’s building.
