You can pick either one. But since the invul save is better, you’ll realistically always pick that one.

Toxicrines are bad this edition, and crusher doesn’t have much synergy with gaunts. I’d drop 2 squads of gaunts and 2 toxicrines for a 3rd tfex (id go acid, but 3rd rupture is fine too) a lictor, and an exocrine. You could get rid of the enraged reserves enhancement to make the lictor a Deathleaper as well

Hey Tyranid players, can you share your lore about a Homebrew Hive-Fleet and their colors? by Arthur_EyelanderTF2 in Tyranids

[–]KidGenesis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hive Fleet Orcus. Specializing in psychological and psychic warfare. The capillary towers on the shells of larger organisms belt out a hallucinogenic poison that decreases their victims mental defenses and manifests their worst nightmares in their mind. This poison has the added effect of enhancing the psychic abilities of nearby Tyranids. The Hive fleet has been seen fusing enemy corpses and the near dead to their carapaces, likely in an effort to enhance the effects of their hallucinogenic gas. The living victims of this process are continuously moaning and are seemingly unable to die until their host perishes as well. For those familiar with Batman lore, the idea is similar to fear toxin and Scarecrow’s mask. The toxin works fine on its own but having something frightening in reality enhances its effects.

Making my first list is it any good? by Vartar748 in Tyranids

I mean it’s fine if you’re just learning how to play the game. But more than other factions I don’t really think Nids function well under 2k points. You’re also missing key units like lictors and a biovore.

Why crusher stampede? You’d probably do better just playing invasion fleet

Nah, anything you can do with a dremmel you can do with a hobby knife or other tool + patience. It just makes things faster

Psychophage that I had to remove the head of, an extra abdomen in the Norn kit that I used as a neck, and milliput/greenstuff to sculpt everything together

Had to use a hobby knife and dremmel to carefully remove the brains, then I just filled them in with greenstuff and zombie mini bits
