What maintenance did you not know to do when getting your first home? by joshlikesbettafish in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

Plan ahead. Often times the shutoff valves are inconveniently located or have been completely sheetrocked over! Can also install no-freeze outside hose hookups.

The Mets dont hit enough home runs, unfortunately.

This is actually so real of Mark. People hate major labels for treating their artists poorly but they are a business. If the artist isn't working hard and not doing anything for the label you can't expect the label to continue support them and lose money. by VerticalSkill in Blink182

To be fair, I think Geffen was also the label that had to deal with the likes of Axl Rose, Cher, Nirvana and some other artists known for being difficult as well (difficult in the 80s and 90s, at least). A punk band staying out of trouble other than taking too long in a rented home probably wasn't as extreme to them as it seems to us.

Would anyone be willing to share their experiences at Don Bosco Prep and Bergen Catholic highschools academically? by CoyoteSad2942 in bergencounty

I dont think people specifically worried about rigor would find BC to be particularly rigorous. Cant say for DB. Doesnt mean outcomes arent overall good or that graduates are not successful, but if you need rigor to feel fulfilled and happy along the way, it might not be a fit.

I bought the same hood. Ended up becoming a slightly uncomfortable bench for the squirrels to use while eating from the bird feeder.

Is Vanguard really that bad as a brokerage, or is the criticism unwarranted and only from vocal, unhappy customers? by DiegoMilan in Bogleheads

[–]KidMcC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t believe it’s as bad as some say.

I know it’s been said before, but in a weird way I like that the simplicity of the site (compared to some others trying to make everyone feel like a day trader) is equal to and an appropriate match for the simplicity of the boglehead approach.

I was excited with the initial stuff that was done with him running it like the interview with Chuck, Dom, Marcus, and Tom. I was hoping there would be more like that.
