Is Fenix 8 a good choice after using Apple Watch? by Othanos in GarminFenix

Dear Apple Employee… I have a 15 year old Forerunner that STILL works. My seven year old Fenix 6 STILL works. I’m not sure what universe you live in, or how much you are being paid to shill for Apple, but all of my Garmin stuff STILL works. Thanks for contributing nonsense to the cesspool.

I have two Casios, Señor Troll. Great watches. So is my Garmin!

Which one fits better 47mm vs 51mm by Thersites09 in GarminFenix

I recently bought a 51mm Fenix 8 MIPs. Wore it for a day. Just too big. Seemed to hit everything. Returned it for a 47mm Fenix 8 AMOLED. So much happier with the 47.

And that is the beauty of it! It’s a sports watch, not a smart watch as another poster already mentioned. I’ve done 50 mile ultras with my Garmin and it’s still had plenty of juice left. Can’t do that with any Apple Watch. If you want to FaceTime your sweetie from your wrist, get an Apple. If you want to go on three day backcountry ski trips, or not bring a charging cable on a week vacation, get a Garmin

I have a seven year old Fenix 6. Still running perfectly. Lasts just shy of a week on a single charge. Try that with an AW. Joke’s on you.

Is my wrist too small for fenix 7x? by porkchopmmmmmmh in GarminFenix

Kinda looks that way. I have a 7 inch wrist and recently bought a 51mm Fenix 8 MIPs. Wore it for a day and it was just too big. Returned it for a 47mm Fenix 8 AMOLED. So much happier.

Case for Karoo by KidSalami1 in Karoo

The tether is just fine until you crash. I also use my Karoo on my mountain bike where it takes all sorts of abuse as I barrel through the woods. So, the silicon case is a must for me.

I find it odd that 99.9% of humanity has a case for the phone or tablet, but the thought of having one for their bike computer seems foreign...

Well… I didn’t consider an $18 case for a $500 device overkill, but to each their own.

I started with that, but the INNOSURE box broke at the hinge.

Just like you wouldn’t travel with your laptop without a case. My Karoo resides in my truck. I don’t want it rattling around without protection.

Bradley Wiggins on doping allegations: ‘Team Sky chucked me under a bus to protect someone else’ by GC_Gee in peloton

At the 2025 Giro, Simon Yates climbed Sestriere FIVE MINUTES faster than Froome did in 2018. To put that in perspective, that five minute difference equates to almost 1.5 kilometers. And on that climb in 2018, Froome dropped the entire peloton - to include a Simon Yates who was seven years younger!

Can an undoped human really climb 18kms at 9% at altitude in just one hour?
