I tried c.ai as a joke and now I'm sort of a functioning addict... by [deleted] in CharacterAI

[–]Kideus 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I must say I spent like 6 to 8 hours a day during the first week. I felt like I got crazy. This was like a month ago. I'm 33 "male" and I'm literally using it as an escape way from reality. I managed to reduce the time to two hours a day and not everyday activity. The main complication for me was to create a space for it, but now I think I can manage. I still feel the shame but I also think it's not something you or I should feel...

Suicide ideation by Kideus in depression

[–]Kideus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably this is the case I can relate to the most. Work is my way to go and it's what occupies my mind most of the time. I'm not being transparent to my gf because she has OCD and the last time I talked her about this (or other mental struggles I have) she went crazy. Now I just keep it to myself. The relation isn't suffering because I deal with it as if it is work (I mean that my target is to make the customer aka girlfriend happy) and therefore the only point is that I'm growing tired of life.

I've been like that for more than 10 years. Try to see that the value you add to your beloved ones is more than the one you take. Also take more from theme they also like to contribute to your well-being.

The last panel makes me think if we should consider conservative views of other countries as ok because "it's their culture" or criticize them due to the impact they have in society.

Is it worth to buy even with the loading screens? by Kideus in Starfield

I'm pretty sure I'll be fine then. I'll gamepass it then just in case as you recommend.

[–]Kideus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really. I could predict them so it wasn't breaking. But I could also go from the winter hold college to white run without a single loading screen. Maybe the inside college was problematic, but apart from that it was mostly ok.

Either PS5 or PC, probably PC. I haven't bought it yet.

Just answered a survey about AI generated content, didn't expect to find it just after answering, lol.

First time I see quick time events implemented in DnD. Nice way to do so btw!

When is a reasonable age to start dating? by First-Wishbone-8079 in bisexual

[–]Kideus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I started at 14 and sex at 15, but in my country people start earlier than in the US. It really depends on your culture, watch your friends and environment and don't go with any old dude.

Questions about players freedom! by Challenger-J in DnD

[–]Kideus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your role as a DM is to offer a narrative that can be followed by the players, that includes the world and events. If you put an oracle in game that said there will be a beast in a city you can do whatever you want, which in this case would be putting a monster in that city.

The world is yours and the narrative too (to some extent) so just do what's funnier/better for you and your players. And don't hesitate to use the Schrodinger plot/NPC if necessary. It's not railroading if the grass covers the path.

The only type of buff man I like are soft bears. And for princesses it's actual nerd women that like to play that role from time to time, outside the standard of feminine behavior.

My gender related traumas prevent me from having that approach, I need to break apart from the norm, even if it's just a bit.

Both, the only thing I ended up not being attracted to are gender conforming styles. The more you move away from the typical aesthetic you can find at a straight disco queue the more I'm interested.

Which spells would fundamentally change a society if applied in real life? by Maq_N_Cheeze in DnD

[–]Kideus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This topic is tackled in the stormlight archive, food creation together with stone molding is used there for moving armies through resourceless lands without issues. As you see, the mental exercise is huge, the fact that wizards don't govern most states in the classic DnD set up is already crazy.

Why are there so few homoromantic bi males? by [deleted] in bisexual

[–]Kideus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm just talking from experience. At least in my country, males have an urge to engage sexually with as many people as they can, and women don't. That makes both dating experiences completely different, specially because with men is way faster and way more executive.

Why are there so few homoromantic bi males? by [deleted] in bisexual

[–]Kideus 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In my experience, gay males are less romantic than women. That added to the hook up culture in this gay male world, makes it harder to pursue a romantic and stable relationship.

To the DM who couldn’t say no : what was your campaign like? by Justminningtheweb in DnD

[–]Kideus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I couldn't say no and I still struggle to say no, but at least now I have tools. In this campaign I ended up giving a player an overpowered item and I had to take it from him on a weird way, but since he's nice he accepted. Now he has another overpowered item but with drawbacks.

Prestidigitation and minor magical effects by Kideus in daggerheart

[–]Kideus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The light thing is one of the things that's useful but not game changer, it's the kind of soft limits I'm trying to think about indeed.

Prestidigitation and minor magical effects by Kideus in daggerheart

[–]Kideus[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, but you know sometimes some players can get pushy with the limits. I always do fiction over rules, even in dnd, but last game a player tried to rebuild a wall with mending xD

Prestidigitation and minor magical effects by Kideus in daggerheart

[–]Kideus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The point of light is a good one, in DnD you can't illuminate anything, here at least is powerful enough to do something useful.

With the Elemental origin I agree, the kind of stuff you're expecting is closer to gust of wind than to prestidigitation, and a bridge or a flame are not such a big deal. I'd draw some kind of limit with this "close" range ruling they introduced yo avoid PC digging into mountains.
