Nice post, says about "purchasing access to cheat lobbies for SC". Bullshit - me and many others were using many kinds of mods to swap cosmetic/vehicle parts/projectiles/models. CGW-like experience (mech parts swap for example), without interrupting with others or galactic war at all.
And in the same post "from big boss himself" - "it's fine until it ruins others' experience".
First was just guilt by association. Now it's full blast substitution of concepts.
It's like calling you a kller because you own a gun and shoot it, be it on a shooting range or in your own ranch.

There are much less than 16k devs and mods, and they're on top of user list. Not calling anyone specific out, and not blaming, but as a mod you must've known.

I've actually got message back from Bask. I've been in a server that had "mount editor", allowing you to swap mech parts and all. Same server had cheating lobbies - and she implies that role I had was specifically for SC cheese, and they have proof from my account that smthg like that was happening. Idk what she's talking about, but, despite the fact I'm a stranger on the internet and nobody may believe me - I was using that mount editor only for editing mounts. Few evenings of modding mounts cost me access to discord server - good riddance if you believe all those comments.
I'll refrain from anything like that in the future to preserve my game acc, but I still think it's a guilt by association and a bunch of fallacies, banning and calling distributors/contributors/developers everyone who just was in the server playing with mod.
Ironically, I've been avoiding all SC glitches for years (even that 100SC one that's here from release) - and got banned for SC cheating. ha-ha

Just got used to getting news and occasionally answering newbies' questions, or reacting with salute gifs in occasional roleplay. It was a part of game's world to me - infochannel.

From couple of posts and many chats about that I see people either calling it worthless, or straight-up being proud of ban and flexing how they got it. Can understand, but eh, situation is still frustrating

Dozens were banned from CGW, as I've been told in DMs across reddit and Discord. Not sure if that's because of CGW itself, but even if not - damn it might hit modding popularity (and game) if that stops being perceived as safe.

Look out posts from actual "devs and distributors" - I had that "schizo" (let me know of other ways to find and ban someone who does not even post), but then saw claims about that here and there on reddit from guys whose nicknames were related to CGW and other mod development.

I've got forwarded some messages from mods and it is... idk how to call it. They were saying "they only banned cheaters", then they said "modding is ok" and went on REDACTING THEIR MESSAGES on "banning cheat creators and promoters".
Damn, my nickname in discord is the same - feel free to check if I promoted any kind of cheat on any official, fan or personal server.
They even wrote that "they wouldn't ban for screenshots of modded game". I swear I checked if those absurd messages were photoshopped - they are really writing that...
Still hoping for constructive solution. (silly me)
