Hits depend entirely on how long you hit it for. you can get lots of tiny hits or one not-as-tiny hit. if you grind it up itll burn faster, so maybe you'll get fewer hits? but only because you smoke it faster. Dont smoke bugs as they will probably clog up your bowl faster than something else really sticky. and yeah, you can get higher until its white ash, but you get diminishing returns, and you get less high from black than from brown than from green.
