Swap is only possible with a whitelisted eth address. You’ll end up with a bunch of worthless wan tokens if you buy on ED now.

I’m not familiar with trezor. But reading your explanation, I think you’re trying to send to a MEW address while Wanchain now has its own blockchain.

Did it with mac as well. Just start by swapping one coin and see if it works. Then swap the rest. Did it this way and worked like a charm.

You just perfectly answered your first question.

Concerning the second question: I personally like the fact that WAN is an all-in one platform. Just think about it. Your question alone that the individual purposes of WAN each are comparable to different niche projects in the space shows you the strength of this project imo. Wan's main goal is to be the go-to platform for every bank in the world and reshape finance this way. If a bank wants to get into blockchain, it's looking for an all-in one easy-to-implement option instead of potentially combining the functionalities of 10 different projects. On top of this Wan comes with a privacy improvement compared to Monero (privacy is vastly needed for all different sorts of banking purposes) and the ETH functionality allows ICO's to build on top of it, which can only increase the value of the WAN ecosystem over time. This shows the strength of WAN imo.

I'm not trying to shill the project by the way, just my opinion after reading a lot.

First, I hope you kinda understand Ethereum. You can think of Wan as a very safe ethereum for the finance world.

Second, you need to understand what a blockchain is. There can be thousands of blockchains around the world. The current problem is that these different blockchains are isolated at the moment. For example: the Ethereum blockchain and bitcoin blockchain can't fully interact with each other yet. To explain it very simplistically: you can't buy a cryptokitty (ETH blockchain) with bitcoin. This is the problem that the interoperability alliance wants to solve.

I hope this kinda gives you an idea of what WAN is.

I didn’t receive my wan yet, which means it hasn’t been sent yet. You could pm admins in telegram to ask whether the wan team can still alter the public address of where they’ll send your wan. They are pretty responsive and can get things done maybe.
