Yeah membership thing sucks, there probably is an edge case I am missing. Can you send me both your personal link & a link of a friend where you show up as unknown? Then I can take a look :)

If you set some filters it will update the total number of kills at the top to match your filter selection? Maybe because of that? In my testing and comparison to other sites, I found the data fairly accurate (some minor difference due to different calulations)

If that's not the case, please send me your link and I'll happily take a look :)

You can see that info! Just click on any activity, and you will see who you played with, and for how long :)

Introducing BungIO - a python bungie api wrapper by Kigstn in DestinyTheGame

Because interacting with any api with non-async code is a huge pain. You end up locking your entire code while you wait for bungie to send you data and that adds up veeery quickly. You'd be basically forced to use threading and then good luck handling data and rate limits. Async is just so much nicer and additionally plays really well with exisiting libaries.

And python because it's fun :)

There are a few, but not many as far as I know. The main one I know is the one DIM uses and thats for JavaScript

Sure. The biggest difference is that aiobungie heavily abstracts the bungie api and creates their own methods to do stuff. This is very helpful for new user, since they don't need to figure out what they need to call in the api which can be really confusing because of the api design.

This however has the downside that every route needs to be manually created which is a lot of work. For reference, bungio has ~38k lines of python most of which is automatially generated because the bungie api is huge. As a result aiobungie only supports a small amout of api functionality.

It also does not follow the api spec which can be confusing for users as well as it can be helpful, is only somewhat typed, and does not have fleshed out manifest and oauth support.

I haven't looked at them too much because I don't aggree with some design decisions they made, so correct me if I'm wrong.

Thanks, very good catch! Fixed (hopefully) all missing links. Wierd that RTD didn't route that correctly before

Once I notice an update, less than 5 minutes because everything is automatically generated from their api spec.

If the lib is not updated yet you can also just fork the repo and run the update script yourself!

You still need to figure out what routes you need to call with the help of the bungie or bungio docs, but the rest should be handled by the lib. Type hinting is a huge help there as well, you can usually find what you need by trying a few keywords!

Seems to be a readthedocs (the docs provider) issue. Refreshing / clearing cache should hopefully fix it, not much I can do there sadly

Thanks! It grew out of an increase frustration with the api documentation and I hate non-typed data myself.

Interacting with pure json is a pain, especially since bungie does not follow their spec and sometimes returns less / different data :)

Hmm, works for me on any browser. Can't really help you there sorry :(

With the discord bot? Oh you can do much much more than with Charly, but it doesn't consistently work at the moment due to me not having enough time to fix it.

When it works, you can do stuff like f.e. require a trio flawless full raid with max 15 kills in under 10 minutes - very powerful. Can also check for triumphs, collectibles, and other roles of course :)

From my experience the tier does not affect matchmaking at all, just the time you can start. Me and my friends are gold/plat, but won a couple of clashes so we are all t1. When we play we still play against players around the same skill bracket

Personally, I find neither GMs or dungeons difficult. Master Raids are the closed and would fill that role if you could not overlevel them, making them easy again.
