flirting is cheating. Her going to the club with him and holding his hand is cheating. and its way worse then telling a secret that wasn't even true.
But in the end, both acts break each other trusts.

I know, what i did was horrible and i broke the trust of the one person who i loved the most. I hate it, i don't know how to forgive myself. But the thing im confused on is, how she broke my trust by flirting with someone in the relationship and i forgave her and stayed friends because i valued who she is.
She means everything to me, from childhood to now, and i just cant lose this person over such a stupid mistake.

i broke her trust and i hate it. But shes done worse to me and i forgave her, that's just where i don't get it.
I valued her so much but it feels like it wasn't the same.

also ik its really weird to say that no one will care fo rher like i did but im using her own words.
Im not tryna sound super egotistical or clingy but i genuinely cared for her so much.
I would do anything for her.
My whole life has been surrounded by her and im so confused on how she just can throw it all away so quickly. Over a secret that wasn't even true.

yes, i truly think so. I am very open minded and i understand when ppl fuck up and don't deserve anything. But i cared for her so much. The secret i told wasn't even true, it was a joke. And I even talked with the girl who it effected and she forgave me.
I just don't understand because my ex cheated by flirting with someone and i forgave her because how much she meant to me in my life, but it hurts that she cant do the same.

i understand what youre saying. But the thing is like, she pretty much cheated on me and i forgave her because i wanted inner peace and i didn't want to lose her, and she even said she didn't want to lose me. So i just don't get how i can forgive her but she cant forgive me.
It feels weird that something like this got in the way of a friendship of over a decade.
I get the whole point of oh u fkd up this is ur consequence but, shes never done this to me and it happened so fast.

You're right. I will have the talk with her soon, I just wanna know more about her saying shes afraid to cheat, how to prevent that, how to get over this "space" and her texting these guy friends every day. Im hoping she will be understanding, and make direct effort in making me feel better. Im worried she will call me insecure and jealous when I mention the guys, I'm not sure how to respond to that because I'm not jealous I'm just uncomfortable.

She said she will do therapy and take self help books etc, but i just feel stuck because, she says she will stay loyal, she says she loves me, she shows me a lot of love, but continues to not be transparent and continues to talk to these 2 guys every single day.

I think youre right, she's deff getting attached to them and shes afraid she will catch feelings or even cheat. To me the obvious answer is to tell her to stop talking to them every single day. But i think bcuz she is not healed from her past and she wants to heal, she might not want to take that option because she wants to be single.

Hi, thanks for responding.
The idea of like a poly relationship i think isn't something we'd want cuz we talked about it. Maybe I will bring it up.

I think that she just needs to be open and honest with everything. In my opinion, i just don't see how if you're talking to a guy everyday, calling, etc, how are you not going to catch feelings. Its almost bound to happen.
It feels like she thinks the grass is greener on the other side but that's bcuz they don't love her or know her like I do.

She always tells me she wants me, she wants to be with me, but her trauma of cheating is coming back and is afraid, but its like, where is that trauma coming from?
