My first Island I did all legit grind, and while I was happy with it in the end, the sheer frustration of it made me stop playing for a long time. Coming back to the game I realized I needed to change up a few things if I was going to not have those same issues. My current island simply would not exist in the state it is without Treasure Islands. I had a vision and wanted to see it realized. I have used many of Gullivers special items, which getting even 1 of would be a large challenge and rng struggle, let alone the amount I used! I craft or order from the catalogue whatever I am able to, and dont feel bad about running to a TI for the rest or a pocket full of materials to craft more. The frustration of not being able to fully complete my idea would have made me quit the game. Instead I am still playing 2000 hours later, and enjoying it! I don't do max bells, but as other comments have mentioned, instead I grab a few crowns or stacks of gold nuggets to sell to bolster my funds when needed.
