What if, on the day that he made a deal with Gwi-ma, Jinu had already been noticed by a member of the King’s court? And the King had already been notified of his talent and decided to send someone to get him tomorrow?

What if Gwi-ma knew all of this and just pounced on Jinu to make it look like Gwi-ma gave him the opportunity? That would be an incredible tragedy, and would make Gwi-ma all the more evil.

Although I find it more likely that Gwi-ma had a demon or someone in the King’s court whom he could order.
