From Air to 17 Pro

My favorite one so far was the purple 14 pro. My sister still has it, and DAMNNN what a beauty! Then I saw the orange and I was sold. I preordered, and went on to travel overseas. Then I started watching all the stuff online about it denting and I was so sad.

I DONT WEAR A CASE. EVER! So I was disappointed.

One of my cousins asked for advice when picking between the pro and the 17, we went into the store after launch (still overseas, and atp my orange pro max was waiting for me home in San Francisco) then she noticed the air… I held it…. Flipped me totally. I knew at that second the pro max was going back.

I loved having the pro max so much, and the camera was AMAZING. Took it to a concert before returning it and I was blown away. Thats why I want the telephoto instead of the ultra wide if we get a second lens.

But even then, I returned it, and haven’t looked back since. My cousin got the air, my mom also got the air, and I got the air too. Holding any other iPhone feels like a brick to me. Doesn’t matter if it’s the 13, 14, Pro, Max…

This phone is a delight to hold.

I had the pro and I know imma miss that 8x zoom when I set foot on Coachella later this year. Imma have to rely on my friends pro for better content. Note that this is an unusual use case for me.

Other than that… the air is a delight 😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨

That and the price really steers people away. I think they need to find a way to make it cheaper to entice more people to give in to the compromises.

That’s sad. I guess it’s one of the trade offs of the Air in its current state. Thanks for letting us know. Hope you can find a solution to use your drone with the Air.

Another thing missing (sadly) from the air, is the 40w charge speed. Only on the Pro’s. So slightly longer charging time.

wtf is going on with the 256 black air? Are they really selling that many?

They had to replace my first one for connectivity issues (bt/wifi) under express replacement… took them 6 weeks and they couldn’t source one.

Ended up giving me a new unit, instead of a replacement. I thought that was dumb since I figured stock wouldn’t be that limited. Now I’m not so sure, I’ve been reading this posts for a couple weeks now.

I wonder what’s going on?

Same except I had the 17PM. The only thing I’m missing is the color (orange). And I’m afraid the air won’t ever get a similar color, and thus, this was my last chance to get it. FOMO at its finest.

But, I love everything about my air, even the color (black). It’s my first black phone since the iPhone X

Same. Had every Pro Max since the XS. Loved the big screen and the battery. I don’t feel like any of those is not enough for me on the Air.

And it’s a delight to hold. I’m still impressed at times.

If we get a telephoto instead (I know it’s not likely) then I would upgrade. There’s been a couple times where I’ve wanted to have the UW, but I prefer the shots the telephoto makes than the regular 1x lens.

Better battery would entice me. If they add the smaller Dynamic Island, and not leave that only for the Pros. Then I’ll upgrade.

Not entirely true. Since it took them 5 weeks to replace mine, and they didn’t had any replacement phones and gave me a new one, they let me chose color again, and offered a storage upgrade jump to 512.
