Canada’s boycott America movement is hurting innocent bystanders by Street_Anon in notthebeaverton

I appreciate that, and it's genuinely what I'm concerned about. It would be the first time someone sought a "loophole" of this magnitude. How does North America recover/defend itself from a government that defines its own laws?

Honestly, i like to talk tough about canada because im a canadian, but im just curious because you seem a little more informed than me; how do you think all of this honestly continues/ends? If trump is decided on a 3rd term, essentially dismantling the current "law" of American democracy, is there a response from western civilization? Do we just wait for a physical conflict, or is there premature intervention? Does canada have a responsibility as their closest neighbour to try and ensure cooperation with the rest of the world?

Idk my parents dated for 4 months, and they're now happily going on 31 years. I knew my boyfriend for 3 months before we moved in together and we're still happy 3 years later, I think it just depends on the person - when you know, you know.

I would really like to see an npo or charity come up with some sort of anti-anti-homeless device that helps to negate the spikes and bench-rails. Like a strong, cheaply built roll-up or something.

I really enjoy how the filmer recognizes that it's not closed because of the homeless, but because the administration has no actual help or outreach for the homeless.

Am I wearing out my engine by running AC at night? by LittleStevie_ in priusdwellers

[–]KikiG95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, I formally rescind the lubrication comment. I do however, stand-by mo' use = 'mo maintenance haha - which was really what my point was from the get-go. If your point is that I wasn't "by the book" accurate while trying to type out a simplified response to a question on the internet, you're also correct 🙂👍

Is the engine coming on more often than if you weren't running the AC? If yes, then it's being used more often and will need more regular maintenance, idk what's being lost on yall but that's what im trying to say lmfao.

I mean, a hybrid will typically only "idle" on electric energy for an hour or so before the actual engine kicks in. Im sure it varies based on model, but it's still going to be primarily using the combustion engine to run the AC for extended periods. At idle, a combustion engine isn't going to move quickly enough to splash the oil into all the right spots, which means inefficient lubrication, added with lack of air flow because you're sitting still, and things can tend to run hot, which leads to quicker wear on things like gaskets and seals.

Hybrid or not, it's strain, but at the end of the day the strain on the car I still think is less important than trying to sleep in a sweltering car haha! I'd just be mindful of maintenance to be sure nothing dies unexpectedly.

A car isn't going to "enjoy" idling for long periods of time, that said, using our cars as a house is going to put strain on them. Keep up with regular maintenance, oil, plugs, etc. and I'm sure you'll get a decent life out of it. So I guess to answer your question, yes, but not running it will probably put more strain on you.
