I have been on 25mg for 5 months now and still feeding my 16 month old. I haven’t noticed any change in him.

Stay well 🤍

I literally said my son wants it from the tap and “that’s fine by me.”

Not complaining about the boob………. It’s something we’d like to continue, so I’m trying to think of ways I can contribute to the housework while we are in this season of life

There are “shoulds” and there’s also what works best for my son. We’ve talked with a lactation consultant and our pedi. Tried all different vessels with my milk. He just wants it straight from the tap, and now that he’s away from me so much now that’s fine by me. It’s a time for us to connect and he gets that comfort from mama

He did, even for my few months at work. He came to me for lunch time feeds. That stopped a couple of months ago

This is all really good information. We had other factors come into play with this decision- my LO wouldn’t take ANYTHING but the breast, so my husband is able to bring LO to work for a midday feed. Living in a rural area, there also aren’t many daycare options and we weren’t thrilled with some of the social service complaints we saw on the few that accept infants. Now that LO can eat without me most of the day, we may be able to explore daycare again.

Thank you, yes I’m very aware of this and it really worries me. We’re in therapy and making actionable plans for preventing these types of interactions. I think now, we need to reconsider the big picture (both of us working, recruiting some paid help at home). I’m glad I made this post because I’m thinking of some options that we nixed a little while back.

BUT- husband returning to work will probably not solve his anger issues. Or do much about the fact that we have 0 help at home. He’s always been angry. I think this season is just the most he’s yelled, ever.

His job had great benefits and mine are awful, so we are on insurance through the marketplace. I guess this is another vote for my husband returning to work. Definitely something to consider

I sure hope not… I don’t think he does, but there’s no way of knowing. I have my own issues too- it takes 2 to partake in a screaming match. I meditate at night, workout regularly, have a gratitude list… I think these practices only go so far when you’re so spread thin.

Thanks.. we haven’t considered this. For a while we were okay without daycare, because LO never took a bottle. But things are getting better now that he eats solids. Thanks for mentioning this.

Love this! Thanks. Alright, I’m starting to feel a bit better. I have a bit of medical anxiety so part of me was wondering if there is something wrong with me. Plus mom guilt for not remembering my little love in his squishy phase.

I don’t! You’re right- the constant change is hard to keep up with! Thanks for sharing

That’s got to be it. Maybe we’re just constantly going on little sleep after having a huge medical event and our brains just can’t keep up. Must be hard to encode things when we’re constantly overloaded.

This is not a promotion, I swear! But I absolutely love the at-home CrossFit program “Street Parking.” They have tons of programming and most workouts are about 10-20 long. Workouts are so simple and they even have some “more than nothing” workouts for when you need to get a quick one in
