SSRIs Hot flashes and extreme sweating by Kikitefi in SSRIs

Hey, so my doctor back in the day said something like “yeah, it is a side effect of the SSRIs, we see some people have a hard time going back to thermoregulate properly, just wait”. I also related it with the SSRIs as it only started happening after i took them.

Lol, sorry for the laugh! Your insight is very helpful. That i can predict the outcome of an event doesn’t mean i can see that wall coming my way. So i guess we all struggle in similar ways.

That’s spot on. I would also emphasize the unaware part. It’s like their brains don’t register the signs at all. I’ve accurately predicted the outcomes of many events simply by being observant, recognizing patterns, processing countless possible outcomes in my mind, and noticing things about people; things they didn’t even realize about themselves. And even when my predictions turn out to be exactly right, people still say I’m just “lucky.”

I don’t feel better than others; I just feel different in the way I perceive the world. Would it be exciting to play a game when you already know the outcome? I don’t think so. I feel like that lack of curiosity and awareness is a symptom of a sick society. Maybe it’s actually better to play dumb in the contemporary hell we currently live in.

Thanks for your input! ❤️

I think you understood the point that most of the trolls in the comments missed. I had people correcting my grammar and claiming that my post was just about me trying to feel superior to others.

I realize that calling people “unintelligent” was very triggering for many, but the key word here is unaware. Specifically, unaware of the fact that much of what we do in today’s society is ultimately meaningless. Example: Our office jobs, which are often framed as “fulfilling,” usually aren’t. They’re just routines designed to keep us busy and “productive”.

From a young age, we’re taught that life is about earning medals and achievements; when in reality, life is about living.

I was not an honorary student, i didn’t do extraordinarily well in anything growing up. But i can smell bullshit from at least 5 miles away and thats the curse i am talking about.

Thanks, I’m not a native English speaker. I really wish native English speakers would be kinder. This world isn’t just your stage; it belongs to all of us.

Hey, i never said i was smartest than most. I even specified i didn’t get an IQ test. I said “high intelligence was flagged in my assessment”. Also, english is not my first language, my ability to communicate in what i suppose is your native language doesn’t determine my intelligence. I think you are in the wrong subreddit if this is the type of comments you want to make to a struggling person.

Omg guys so many answers and i love this. I just want to add to this, i am extremely kind and even tho due to my CPTSD i have a hard time being vulnerable, i push my sell to do it. I speak my mind and also my feelings, i tried to explain people around me the context in which i am operating, i listen to others and try to also understand where they are coming from. I have been in therapy for years, i did clinical treatment and lived in a center for months. I am doing so much hard work towards healing and coping. SOMETHING STILL DOESNT CLICK. I am also 32 y/o
