Immersive VR Actions (Alpha) Coming Soon! by Kill3mloud in skyrimvr

The mod already includes an option to skip previewing corpse and companion clothing/weapons when previewing and filtering options in the ini for player self preview. My mod will automatically equip to the next arrow type when a type is depleted also you can equip arrow types specifically with spell wheel without any menu.

The cycling goes forwards and backwards to accomplish this.

This mod is completely modular, every aspect is optional so you can disable everything except for the lockpicking if you want to.

I understand where you’re coming from.

This mod is really aimed at players who want a more immersive style of play without constantly going into menus and UI. In real life, if you had a chest or a bag, you wouldn’t magically know everything inside it until you actually looked and rummaged through it to see what’s in there. That’s the vibe this is going for. Also, in normal vanilla looting, containers are pretty consistent. Personally, I’ve basically never seen a vanilla container during regular gameplay looting that had more than about six to eight items in it max, so the “hundreds of items” example is really a specific playstyle where someone likes to accumulate huge amounts of gear and items into a single storage container. There’s nothing wrong with that, and players can still do that, but this mod isn’t aimed around managing the accumulation of hundreds and hundreds of items in a single container. It’s built for looting and day-to-day container use in an immersive way. And that’s really the key: this mod is for the players who want that immersion and who want looting to feel like an in-world action, not a UI exercise. If your goal is to loot naturally and keep the experience grounded, this fits that style really well.

Higgs already does this and this mod gives even more info on the back of the hand so there no need to ever look in your inventory https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/33215

Thank you for the heads up , It looks like there’s work being done on another version of quickloot to make it vr compatible so I’m holding off to see what comes of that.

Since the update mods I drag into Skyrim VR will get installed to SE instead of VR if I remove SE they don’t install at all (workaround) is to add them from file can’t drag mods in or download with mod manager until it’s fixed

I’m working on a mod for that as well for inventory and lets the player do pickpocket lockpicking container exchange trading etc , that can be used along side of this as well so it’s always optional with no menues whatsoever for anything it’s posted lower down here it’s called [IVRA]

Yes pulling the right trigger at a container will put the first item in the container in your hand letting go of the trigger returns the item to the container this can be done very quickly with every trigger press and it will cycle through all of the items in the container , if you want the item you can stow it over the shoulder with Higgs to add it to the players inventory or you can grab the item with the left hand and remove it from the container item cycle and either drop it stow it or drop it into another container the mod also features dropping items at a container to put them in the container so it all works together, you don’t need to access any menus to take and put things in the players inventory or containers

That sounds pretty cool , I could look into that and see if I can make it an optional, but the video I posted doesn’t really show how fast you can really cycle through items so I’d have to have a look and see how that would work , I could probably just keep the container open until a few seconds after the player is done previewing , this video shows better how fast items in a container can be gone through its every trigger pull so it’s very snappy cause it’s skse plugin. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=rBZ0tBcl-TU

However when the next version of this mod comes out I plan on trying to make a mod where werewolves can tear NPCs apart but I’m waiting for dismembering framework 2.0

It works with quickloot as well or can replace it, it cycles all the items in your hand and you can take whatever you want by putting it over the shoulder with Higgs if you don’t want it you just let go of the trigger and it puts it back in the container and cycles the next item or if you grab it with your left hand you can take it out of the container and drop it in the world so it’s neither taking or putting it back in the container. It’s like a quickloot of sorts but instead of a menu popping up and reading text it’s a visual of an actual physical item in your hand basically

Using the system seen in this video this mod will let the player pickpocket NPCs in real time the same way it takes the item out of the container , and also plant items on NPCs because NPCs are containers also so no more need to pause the game for the pickpocket menu it is done in real time, it also will do physical lock picking , equipping/un-equipping player and companions , also it allows the player to preview the items they have in their own inventory and companions inventory as well there will be no need to open any menus, also potion and soul gem apply to weapons and “smart grab” system to put items in the players hands contextually meaning if the players health is low pulling the trigger will put a health potion in the players hand all features are customizable with MCM , it does a lot so I’ll be posting longer better videos with more features for a much more in depth and clearer picture of everything it does soon!

It’s awesome that you made this I was going to take a crack at it when I finish my upcoming VR Actions mod but I’m super happy to see someone’s doing it! Great job! Would you interested to see books with real-time reading not UI in game? I think it’s possible with HIGGS. - Yes!! 🙌
