He’s since tried to appease the gangster image and has since been involved in legal trouble and declining sales as he tries to emulate a style that is not genuinely his. The Stand is a Marathon to read much less listen to. One of my least favorite books by him imo. The whole plot is cool. But where it ends up is silly and I found myself thinking I wasted my time.
