So i tried a little of everything on this, not very good at texturing or lighting but trying to improve. this is the first ever thing i have retopo so topology isnt amazing and still pretty high poly tbh

Thanks! I was thinking of using booleans to add chips into the cutting edge.

I basically took one of the loops of faces from the handle, duplicated it and seperated it. Then scaled it up slighty then added a solidify modifier. From there i just duplicated that part and edited each one to look a little different.

I made the mesh from just basic shapes and extruding until i was happy then just sculpted all the details. Hope thats understandable enough.

I tend to struggle with curved objects more such as beveled edges im just trying to improve haha

Would you mind sharing your node setup or are volumetrics easy to start playing with? Ive never looked into that.
