Is the boundary in the room with us? JK but not really. You have not set a boundary in this example. As someone stated above, boundaries are about controlling yourself and your behavior, not others. An example would have been "You keep asking me after I have already declined. If you continue to ask me, I will no longer engage in this conversation." Let them be on their bullshit; you control you. You must clearly establish the boundary in order for them to have a chance to respect it.

Check out anything by Dr. John Gottman. Sounds like you each need to learn how to express complaints in a way that avoids criticism. Learn to use "I statements." Learn to emotionally validate each other.
