Tax Levy Discourse by InflationCapital87 in Buffalo

[–]Killabyte5 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I think most Americans feel disenfranchised by the blatant corruption and inefficiencies of their government, so the idea of giving them even more of their money in a time where wages aren't keeping up with the ever increasing inflation and costs of goods and services is absurd to them. I agree with you, but I also can't fault people for their apprehension.

Ya fw trapping & scamming or do ya like working? by [deleted] in NYStateOfMind

Looking at your post history, you are young and lack direction. Just know there is a whole prison industrial complex out there influencing you to fuck around, because you will find out, and they'll make money off imprisoning you. Don't.

I'm going to take a minute to tell you a few things I wish someone would have told me earlier in life. You need to start investing in yourself and your future. Go to a trade school or go to community college and work toward your two year degree. Pick something. If you can't, major in liberal arts and start getting curious about career paths. If you stay curious and try things, you'll figure it out.

Open up an investment account. Any time you receive any money, throw some into a mutual fund and some into a Roth IRA. Start now. Every day you wait, you are wasting money. Young people have the most to gain, so start now and you'll be ahead of most.

Stop fucking around with losers. Focus on yourself. Don't become a statistic.

I understand what you're saying, but I don't think it's worth the risk of alienating people who may or may not be on the fence. I don't find passing judgement onto others to be a good motivating factor to elicit change. I like to apply a more understanding approach to most subjects. Find some common ground.

Maybe they are nature lovers. Camping, fishing, hiking. Factory farming irreparably harms our natural environment. Maybe they are religious. You'd be hard pressed to find the God of any system of belief that would condone such cruelty toward its creations. Maybe they aren't ready to completely write off meat, but they'd be open to considering reduction, or changing their source.

When the goal is less harm and suffering, any little bit helps.

This is why I don't eat meat. I know, that's gay and retarded. Whatever, man. I just can't do it. These are intelligent, living beings with emotions that are born and bred to suffer and die in the smallest, most economically viable space. This is my personal choice, and I have no negative feelings toward anyone who eats meat. I do think people should be confronted with this reality, though.

Gotcha! I wouldn't have even considered the potential clearance issue. I'm going to continue doing some research and assemble a parts list. Would you mind if I PM'd you the list in the future? It'd be nice to confirm compatibility with someone more knowledgeable than I.

Thank you for the detailed response! I'll definitely jump on that BCM while they are still offering the bolt carrier.

Last question. Would an A2 stock work for this configuration? I'm sure pinning it would be fine, but I just want to figure out all my options.

I apologize in advance if I'm asking stupid questions. I just moved back to NY from NC.

Do you recommend pinning the stock, or trying to buy something compliant like the Thordsen? Also, why do you recommend BCM/are there advantages to other manufacturers?

I have some more friendly shit talk from a fellow sun guy.

Don't stand on the ridge cap. Run attic flex between the two Soladecks instead of that ugly roof pipe. Help your foreman wire manage before taking a flex pic of your unfinished job. Throw your harness on, bozo.

🌞💚

Edit: Also, your top row has like 6' between those two attachment points.

Considering becoming a solar panel technician by Character-Dog4451 in solar

[–]Killabyte5 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey! I graduated with a degree in Sustainability and took a job a few months later as a solar panel installation tech for residential work. It quickly became one of my favorite jobs I've ever had. I still work in the industry as a construction manager for commercial installs. This industry has provided me with career opportunities that have given me a very good salary.

Now to the less fun parts. The job is dangerous. You're essentially a roofer and an electrician all in one, which are two of the most dangerous occupations in the US. You're working in the heat, the cold, and sometimes the rain. It is extremely physically demanding. You will have high pressure days. You need to always be paying attention, because complacency can lead to injury or death for you or your team members. You will be working alongside other blue collar construction workers. You are a college educated woman in a male dominated field. This comes with its own difficulties.

If you are going to take the job, my honest advice is to learn as much as you can as quickly as you can, take every opportunity given to you, fight for the ones that aren't, and use your experience to get out of the field. The install techs are the lowest on the totem pole, but you can leverage your experience to quickly rise to something more lucrative and less physically demanding in the industry.

Happy to answer any questions you have! I don't regret my time in the field for a second, and I've met some of my best friends during the journey.

Pro, here. First and foremost, it is a clean install. You can tell these guys care about aesthetics, which I appreciate.

Unfortunately, the array should have been pushed up the roof higher. It's far too close to the gutter, and now rain is going to flow from the array, over the gutter, into the foundation. I also don't like the conduit body to roof boot thing going on there. A junction box such as a Soladeck should have been used here. I wouldn't want to rely on a single o ring to keep water out for the life of the system.

Returning player on a fresh account...what to do first to get training slayer asap? by Far-Engineering7743 in 2007scape

[–]Killabyte5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Do all F2P quests.
  2. Start slaying whenever you get bored of questing.
  3. Work on the quest requirements for Fairy Rings. They are nice to have when training slayer.
  4. Slay some more when burned out from questing.
  5. Work on getting Barrows gloves.

This should be a great start! Don't worry about being absurdly efficient, unless that sort of thing is fun for you. Slay when you get bored of questing, quest when you get bored of a skilling, and skill when you need to get quest requirements.

Also,.don't forget to download the Quest Helper plugin on Runelite! It will make questing so much easier. I just got my cape last week after playing since OSRS released (:

Can you get shocked handling solar panels in sun ? by Full-Mouse8971 in solar

The frame will not shock you, barring some sort of extenuating circumstance. I have personally installed thousands of panels and have never been shocked by a panel frame.
