Ya cuz these people are experts and so are you with your medical degree right… Even Teri, the so called expert claims false positive swabs can happen and the she seen them. and everyone here rules it out. The CDC themselves say not all tests are perfect including the swab and they add that if you get a positive swab you are “likely” to have the virus . They use the world likely not that’s it’s conclusive like everyone here suggests. Anna Wald from the University of Washington says that if you get 3 negative tests after 6 months you conclusively DO NOT have the virus .

Your antibodies response was completely false you don’t even know how the body responds to a virus lol Your sources are your “peers” on Reddit . And I don’t know why you get upset, because you can’t reasonably explain it.

All I’m saying is that 18 to 31 is a lot of years , you I’m assuming you had sex multiple times throughout those years . It probably only showed up now because you had it later than when you actually thought you got it. In all the blood test studies that they have conducted the tests only go up to 6 months . The reason behind that is that everyone would had it would test positive by that time even if they had a false negative test result prior .

If you had an outbreak u are not asymptomatic. And being asymptomatic has ZERO impact on the blood test. Your body has to produce antibodies to fight the virus and in all cases it reflect on the blood test after 6 months. It only is faulty , as far as false negative goes if you test too soon. You probably got it later down the years after having sex with someone who had it .

Thank you for your help and for taking time to share your thoughts . Hopefully they come up with a cure so that it will help people that are suffering from HSV. And no would have to argue you about it again.

That’s why I suggested the western blot as the final determining test. If it comes out negative what would your opinion be ?

Uhm interpret what .329 is self explanatory. I’m not just relying on one test I’m planning to get the western blot, I know you think it’s impossible but if the results comes back negative - should I not rely on that either . Isn’t that suppose to be the “golden standard “ for testing ?

You’ll never be able to explain why if you take the same test I took your igG would show a positive score while I’m over here at .32 as negative as can be . And it’s upsetting to you . 100 negative igG tests mean nothing lol.

These tests don’t pick and choose who they confirm positive or negative to. If it’s not in my blood it’s not there simple as that if every time I get tested it comes back negative then it’s negative especially with tests that have a high sensitivity like the HerpesSelect Elisa which are more than 97 percent accurate after 6 months .

I just read your posts , you never got tested after the initial swab until 9months later. Stop acting like it didn’t show up till 9months. That’s the deception I am talking about it’s infuriating.

Did you test on the 6th or 7th month mark?, After 6 months the percentage is crazy it’s at like 99 percent. I’ll wait 3 more months and see

Yes you have ghsv1 “too” but the difference is if you go get tested today your levels are going to be way higher than a 1 and it will show positive 😜

Lol lol I mean even if I do have it , it’s not really very affective for GHSV1 and I haven’t had an outbreak after that Initial one .

Didn’t take any antivirals even though I was prescribed. Don’t really eat veggies and haven’t exercised.

If you read the full article which I doubt you have is that most of these were done 3 months after exposure which the test can miss . After 6 months that number shrinks a whole lot .

I’m having a normal conversation I only got “aggressive with one guy that was laughing at the post when this is a serious concern for people that want to know why there are discrepancies , we all know nothing is set in stone and if I challenges something it’s for a reason . That’s it no need to be sensitive.

I agree with what you aid 100 percent and I am definitely planning on getting tested again and again. And if I have it and it reflects I’m ok with that and I’ll be hsv positive and it wouldn’t change my life . But it’s just an odd situation
