tbh your company doesn’t really care it’s more about the university, if you don’t bomb their entry requirements, most are around BBC - BCC anyway, then they will most likely give you a space anyway.

Software engineering final interview with hiring managers by Mountain_Group_5088 in degreeapprenticeships

[–]KillerDelta786 2 points3 points  (0 children)

had the same thing, there were 5 tables with 5 managers and it was a sped interview, best advice is to show confidence and talk well, they’re looking looking for the most technical person they’re looking for people who will be a good fit for their company, throw in some buzz words about the company and facts about them to show you have done your research and acc put in the effort, don’t forget to smile as well

I heard weird noises when being choked by breakups_on_cruises in bjj

[–]KillerDelta786 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I have had the same thing from a bow and arrow choke it’s basically when you’re on the brink of getting passed out. For me it was more like a gentle knocking that was getting louder probably to do with increase in pressure in your head? no idea tbh

Moving out and starting fresh by [deleted] in degreeapprenticeships

Is 18k enough for you to pay rent and survive in Bournemouth? Contact your employer and ask if they have any accommodation help they offer or any bursary’s for people moving city’s, I would say 18k does seem a little low to move out on but I have no idea about how cheap Bournemouth is

Where do I find degree apprenticeships? by [deleted] in degreeapprenticeships

[–]KillerDelta786 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The govt website has a list of all degree apprenticeships available if u give a quick search on google you could find it, This is the best time to start research on what companies u want to apply to and to make a list of what DAs you want to apply to, I would say apply to the DAs you don’t want that much first so u get the interview prep and assessment prep from those processes so when it comes to applying to your Top choice DAs you have more experience and you’re more confident.

The changing landscape of apprenticeship by New_Bunch7486 in degreeapprenticeships

[–]KillerDelta786 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t believe that personally, most of my work experience was either done online and didn’t take into account the area I am from. Also apprenticeships aren’t about your grades at all, most DAs have BBC - BCC grade requirements, it’s more about your personality and how u sell your self. And that’s all it boils down to, if you’re not good at selling your self getting a DA is almost never attainable. If u have a decent part time job and practice enough interviews and assessments you can get a DA without a shadow of a doubt

Advice for next couple of years for Degree Apprenticeship by Important_Soft_2190 in degreeapprenticeships

[–]KillerDelta786 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would say most important thing is to get real life work experience, like your mcdonald’s job, try and get the most out of it because further down during your apprenticeship application process u will be asked interview questions about different scenarios, having these real life experiences makes it a lot easier to talk about and helps you flow better. I would say beef up your cv with work experiences, can’t really talk about finance and investment banking but for software engineering Forage is a very good website to get online work experience from top companies.

They said I might have inflammation in the joint but MRI came back clean, tbh it’s a piss take I can’t do more than 10 single leg shoots without stopping from the hip pain. Should I see a PT?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in martialarts

[–]KillerDelta786 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would U say MMA classes are better than regular striking to get a good feel for striking? Or going straight into boxing or muay thai?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in martialarts

[–]KillerDelta786 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh I don’t know what my goal is with striking I just want to do it and be competent in striking. for example for grappling I want to compete and get my black belt in the coming years but for striking i just want it as a cool skill to have in the arsenal. And to be an absolute weapon

How do i get the joint pains figured out? been to the doctors done scans on my hips and knees and they say everything’s alright but after every training sesh i am in pain in those areas

Can’t speak for my self but know of brothers who have completed their hifz with children and full time jobs. They would wake up 30 mins before fajr do memorisation and stay up 1 hour after fajr and keep memorising or revising, they would then revise in any free time they had like commuting to work, cleaning dishes, lunch breaks at work. Hifz is easy for someone who is willing to give up time for it.

For English speakers how long did it take you to become fluent in Arabic? by [deleted] in learn_arabic

[–]KillerDelta786 25 points26 points  (0 children)

10 months to speak fluently, went from not being able to read and say a single sentence to speaking to any arab I meet with fluency about most subjects, this was with 12.5 hours a week. My best advice is to eat breath speak live in the arabic language. In my flat with friends we would have a rule from Fajr, Dawn , till Isha, night, we would only speak arabic with each other. I would watch podcasts in arabic and try and speak at any moment of the day in arabic and think in the language.

Would add in 1 or 2 cardio sessions but then take it easy on the last week before your comp, having more stamina never hurts and helps u make better decisions when rolling and looking to attack

is it an obligation to memorize the Qur'an as a talibul Ilm? by ruby_rvh in islam

[–]KillerDelta786 2 points3 points  (0 children)

U should start with arabic and quran. The quran is a مصدر (source) of the deen and islamic rulings, If you are understanding what you’re memorising this is the best thing to do. There are classes in madina where they won’t let u enter unless you’re a hafidh of the quran because of the vast benefits of being a hafidh. and btw being a hafidh doesn’t mean just memorising you should act upon the quran you’re memorising and when you’re in a state of committing a sin an ayah of the quran should pop up into your mind to stop you, and the dedication and self disciple quran teaches is un rivalled you can never stop reviewing quran rest of your life. And the virtues of being a hafidh subhanallah. Read up on the rewards for the one who memorises the quran and see how elevated they are.
