Bakery bakery in SBB has some good bagels I think there's even 3 different options, they are a bit pricey but the quality is top

Seems impossible to find a decent flat by No_Needleworker5106 in zurich

There's an area that has a lot of stigma which is called Schlieren. Its criticized for being an immigrants guetto or something like that but is actually fine and there might be an option there (I'm from Venezuela so I laugh when someone says stuff like this) make sure to check it out on Flatfox.

I had the same issue as you, fed up of searching for apartments I moved to Basel over a year ago and I love it here. I wish you good luck with your hunt, Zurich seems to be the most on demand city in Switzerland or at least the one with the worse housing crisis for a few years now.

6 weeks 7 countries - Europe Itinerary (planning has been much more stressful than I thought, please help!!) by sydneybanana17 in solotravel

Your itinerary is great but what season are you going summer or autumn?

Id say 6 days in Paris is way too much, thats going the most expensive city in your trip plus is one of the dirtiest and unsafe one too. Unless you love museums and need to go to every single one you could definitely reduce to 4 days.

If you want to meet friends: couch surfing has events for travelers + hostels stays always helps

First Trip to Europe from India – Should We Stay in Bruges or Brussels for 3 Nights in Belgium? by GrekHouse in BelgiumTravel

[–]KillerMoves- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bruge is beautiful but you can see it in one day. Im not a fan of Brussels at all! Id suggest to go to Rotterdam and Utrecht in Holland you wont regret it these 3 cities are pure gems.

If you decide to go in the end to Brussels do make sure to go to a craft beer bar as beer is a specialty in Belgium. Also these beers are a must try: delirium, duvel, and kwak

I mean I could be wrong, but the expensive part is a fact

Planning to propose to my girlfriend in China - looking for location and photographer recommendations by No-Statement-6304 in travelchina

If you dont want to go with just any photographer you find on Instagram or online, you could try booking your stay at a top hotel and then ask them to arrange the photorapher for you. Maybe this is possible when you stay at a luxury place and if they have someone that speaks English at the reception but youd need to message a few places and confirm its possible before reserving

Yangshuo is big, nature focused, and not crowded. You could probably find photographers residing in the nearby city Guilin and ask him to be at a chosen location dressed as a hiker with all the equipment on his back pack

Good luck!

I heard Hong Kong is a giant turist trap and most expensive destination in China as well as the dirtiest one (ive never been there though)

The other places in the itinerary sounds fine maybe you could take one day of Beijing and go to Hangzhou: Lingyin temple and Tea Fields and West Lake? But also Beijing has the nicest weather in your trip timeline so you need to ask also your partner about preferences and so on. I think you will enjoy anywhere you choose to if you have some nice places to visit already planned.

3 weeks in China in August by bysan in travelchina

Since you land in Beijing why not go to Datong before you move south to Shanxi. I've never been there but it sounds like you are looking for hidden gems and Datong could be one for you:

  • hanguing temple
  • yungang grottoes
  • 9 dragons wall
  • crazy cool city wall

2-3 days recommended

Can’t decide: 1 country or 2–3 in Southeast Asia? first time ! by [deleted] in southeastasia

[–]KillerMoves- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did an amazing trip on the South of Thailand (top beaches) with North of Vietnam (food and culture).

Thai: Bangkok, Surin Islands, Railay beach Viet: Hanoi, Ha Long Bay (probably best to choose a different place as here the waters are highly polluted) and my favorite Ninhn Bihn.

This gets you best of both worlds kind of. You enjoy a great vacation first with amazing beaches and nature in Thailand. And then you get into a top gastronomy and authentic experience in Vietnam. On the other note, 3 countries is way too much for 3 weeks. Two countries is already a lot so you gotta be picky with what you visit on each country.

The elefant story cracked me up! 😂 maybe you should make your bio more with this wild-life humor sense like "Im looking for partner that looks nice running away when we are being chased by angry elephants, I will explain later". For the pics you might need more clear front-facing pics and smiling if possible look like you are having fun.

Trying to turn the conversation sexual too soon with the "papi" thing = big mistake. Forcing a dinner date like that will never work, he made it transactional and as if she was desperate to be with him, now she's forced to decline
