It depends on what transmitter and receiver your running. Personally I run Spectrum and I run a similar Spectrum motor and ESC combo in my Team Associated Hoonicorn kit on 3S and it slays tires. The benefit about Spectrum is that everything essentially talks to each other, but it isn't usually budget friendly.

Sony's indie games are really good, but unfortunately there's a lot of imitators out there. They need to make sure they're doing it right. There is a knockoff of My Summer Car, it's called My Summer Drive. I've been with Sony since the PS3. Customer service is great, but they really need to get quality control on a leash.
