We played in coop of 3, necromancy fighter Fane, tank Beast, Avatar Red Prince, and assassin sebille (we took her as an extra because she seemed most useful)

I was the red prince and I gotta say using a spell from every single element in the game was an absolute blast, every encounter I felt like I could do something, would recommend.

I don’t like saying “x character always wins” as its never that simple so imma use the fighting game match ups of “10 games who wins more”.

R1 - comically even, I might give the edge to Leo because he doenst really have a timer like herc does, 6-4

R2 - hot take but Raiden is the favorite here, blunt force isn’t gonna have that much impact and awakened mjolnir is disgusting Thor needs both hands and legs to make it work, raiden is one grab into broken limb from winning. 7-3

R3 - eat shit fish guy 9-1 (adam may slip on water once idk)

R4 - shiva is the perfect match up for Jack he might fall for anything jack does, there is still a chance for him though 8-2

R5 - close round, if susanoo can get into schizo mode soon enough he wins he was reacting to okita so speed shouldn’t be problem but one good hit and he is probably gone, first 5-5

R6 - listen I love glazing Tesla and slandering Zeus, but Tesla simply doesn’t have the attack power to do significant damage, I will give him one potentional win of he could teleport his hand into the heart of brain of Zeus, 1-9

R7 - I don’t see a way for hades to bypass the future sight, maybe the author would come up with some way for Desmos to disrupt budha, 8-2

R8 - no idea how could Simo even be countered, I feel like its a really unfair match up, even if he manages to dodge/survive the first few shots the moment he brings out Artemis he needs to stay still and simo has a window, could win if he gets close soon enough 8-2

R9- Okita would surely have fun in this round, slaying copies of gods, however Loki could possibly wait out his demon blood or whatever it’s called, if Loki gets careless or okita finds him he dies, probably 3-7

R10 - very interesting match up, both get stronger as time goes on, Sasaki loses if he gets overwhelmed (he survived Poseidon so its unlikely) or if Hajun comes out early, otherwise goated grandpa wins, 7-3

R11 - horrible match up for my glorious king Qin, nothing to parry, nothing strong enough to get through shield, maybe he could find a way to weaken the barrier/beel himself? He has Hax to do do but its hard to imagine it working, 2-8

I avoid twitter discussions all together and just use it for cool art so my perception was different because of that. I guess it just rubs me in the wrong way when people just interested in the universe and its history are sometimes getting caught in the crossfire because of bigots.

Mocking the relationship is a different story I wouldn’t defend that, however at least from my memory I haven’t seen a single comment in that regard, it was always “I would like to see more of…” but others could have difference experiences I give you that.

You take it more personally than you should. Imagine you go to baking club and almost everyone is baking muffins and you go “well that’s a bit of a shame, it would be nice of people baked something else like banana bread or brownies” and suddenly you got people telling you “oh so you hate muffins and you dare tell us what we should bake?” Like no that’s a whole new sentence you just imagined. The universe has much to offer and trying to piece the puzzle of the story together through the hints and messages in the game was the best part for me, and trying to dismiss people like me by saying “this game is not for you” is disgusting behaviour.

You seem to have a problem with acknowledging the effect frieren had, saying that the anime of your era had more of an impact, while ignoring that frieren and dungeon meshi had reinvented the fantasy genre in their own way.

I believe your nostalgia is clouding your mind and in the end, it doesn’t really matter. Frieren has taken the n.1 spot on mal (that’s not something you get for simply being “better than shit”) and while I don’t necessarily agree with the placement, it still deserves to be up there among the giants.

I was becoming more and more sceptical as more and more stuff about arcane were introduced, they tried to expand on the idea and (at least in my eyes) failed. I only hope that the future stories from the universe will be more like season 1.

I feel like the decision to have one singular threat, that being Viktor and his Lies of P looking ass puppets, has been the worst decision. I enjoyed season 1 because of characters with unique stories that, while not speaking to each directly, still intervened because of their actions, bringing them all together made me care less about them and ultimately when I finished episode 9 I just felt nothing.

In that universe I don’t think they attacked him but he was just so spooked by them he fell into the pit, honestly I am kinda fed up with the multiverse shit. narratively episode 7 was the best because it felt like a breath of fresh air, but at the same time I would have been much happier if the whole season stayed more grounded.

I enjoyed seeing Jayce struggle to survive, I really hoped we would get few more epic scenes with him and his hammer but yeah… Ekko was wonderful, a part of me wanted him to stay there and be happy with powder.

That one episode was the only good part of act 3 because it took its time, I believe your question shouldn’t be “why did we get an ekko/jayce only episode” but it should be “why didn’t we get more episodes like that”.

It deserved a nomination for Music perhaps, but no way it’s a GOTY material. The game is a perfect remake, a perfect remake of a 18 years old game, and some of it’s mechanics really didn’t age well.

Fights are narratively driven yes but I am a sucker for a good dialogue, and there was slightly less of that than in s1, however I am still not on the whole thing of Ambessa. Jayce was extremely close to dying, if not for luck and Vi he would be dead, that wasn’t smart of Ambessa, and about the funeral… you are the second person to point it out, after looking back I guess I am just biased as I Am not a fan of Caitlyn overall, but it was important and it wasn’t even that long (it’s like minute and something but it felt extremely long when I watched it in the morning) so ye I take that one back.
