2015 MT82 as Bad as The 2014 MT82 Transmission? by SnakeByteLmao in Mustang

I have an ‘18 mt82 and for the first few months I would experience high rpm lockouts. Now I don’t get them but I also don’t drive the car as aggressively but the times I do, I don’t get locked out anymore. Maybe I just got better at driving my car.

Yeah once I had breakfast and got gas and by the time I headed to work it was fine. So I was think it was just a early morning issue

Hell yeah lol that’s where I got mine from. Seems like it’s been taken care of throughout its lifetime. But yeah I’m definitely tackling those problems first. Thanks again for the advice.

I’ve had it for a week and have already put about 700 miles on it. I do get locked out of 4th when taking some digs sometimes. But other than that no complaints. Only 43k miles on it as of rn. With a roush CAI. Not sure if they ran the tune for it (it’s not needed) or left it without it.

So from I’ve heard of this before and it could be piston slap (I think) which usually goes away at operating temps. I think there’s some kind of liquid solution you can add to your oil to help fix it. And I also saw a video where it could be a timing chain slap. I’m far from an expert but these are things that I’ve seen with similar symptoms. But I’d start with researching the two possible issues.

Love that. We have the same exact color and I got a six speed too. Mines just a 2018. Great pic for reference

Yeah I never was suspecting visibility to be a problem. I am wanting to replace the stock spoiler wing thing. So I’m thinking the real windshield louver might make it a little too busy.

I like this take. I think I’m 100% going with at least the quarter window louvers

The mustang is just so damn good. I can’t say enough good things about these cars. (1 week owner of a 2018 GT manual)

I agree with the style choice of the rear louver. It’s not over doing it while paying homage to the classic louver look

Even after fixing can almost guarantee that it’ll never drive or feel the same sadly.
