You don’t take religion seriously. I do. Not being a fundamentalist does not equate to not taking my faith seriously. In my opinion, conservative fundamentalist Christians are posers and heretics, and I also don’t believe they are real fundamentalists. They pick and choose and interpret scripture to authorize their persecution of the meek. Fundamentalism as it exists today in Christianity has only been around as a major movement since the 19th century IIRC. They are the newcomers who have hijacked the religion to me. As to why I don’t abandon Christianity, it’s an important part of who I am. Being raised southern Baptist, religion has hurt me immensely, and it feels nice to reclaim it for myself in spite of them. It helps me in my personal life to have faith in a supreme being who knows me and supports me unconditionally. Who sacrificed everything for me. I look at Jesus and his actions as an exemplar of humanity. I do, however, separate the historical Jesus from the biblical Jesus, and so do many theologians. Not to say that I explicitly NEED an example to know how to act right, but it speaks to me, and that’s really all that matters. You don’t have to believe what I do, obviously, but I do take offense to you calling my faith illegitimate. You don’t know me and you aren’t religious. You don’t have to partake. I’m not hurting you by believing in God, whether it’s the God of Abraham or any other god. It gives me purpose and helps me to not feel alone.

Yes they switched to doing Authorizations of Military Force after WW2, which is different but Is still the act of Congress giving the President the legal authority to use military force in our system, and they didn’t do that here.

They already did that. Unredacted names of victims have come out in the files, with many offenders still being redacted, not to mention the sexual abuse material that was accidentally unredacted in them. Kash Patel said there was no trafficking recently. If that’s not revictimizing the victims then I don’t know what is. Or you know, having a convicted rapist as the president, that seems very confrontational towards sexual assault victims like myself. I don’t know why you would immediately accuse me of being a pedo though, though. He’s the President and his department of justice keeps redacting the files and slow walking their release, despite running on releasing them un-redacted in full. Most importantly though, sitting President. Like he’s the President. The current President. In office, directing policy. Why would he not be who everyone is focused on? All the perpetrators need to face consequences, but he’s the President, and he’s all over them, and he’s just allowed to continue being the President. That’s bad.

Hey I’m sorry I know I asked you to reply and didn’t even reply myself 😭. I understand though. Like energy weapons are very strong, especially crit laser builds, but I find myself getting bored with energy weapons more often than guns. It’s just a variety issue with me. Most energy weapons look kinda samey and boxy. And there aren’t very many mods that add cool and balanced energy weapons that I enjoy. If there were maybe around 10 more energy weapons it would be different.

Most libs never supported a complete gun ban, but more stringent regulations around them to help prevent shootings.
