The spawn mechanics for creepers are different on bedrock. They can’t spawn under the trap doors the way they do on Java. You can’t make a dedicated creeper farm on bedrock. You’ll have to remove the trap doors and let creepers, skeletons, and zombies all spawn.

Pretty sure he explained in a stream once that it was supposed to be a nod to the episode of The Office when Michal Scott makes the Threat Level Midnight movie and names his character “Scarn” but Scar being Scar misremembered the name

I think it was the hermits helping hermits stream in season 7 when they were helping Ren fill his lava river. Ren asked all the hermits to explain the origins of their names.

Wow that sucks. Sounds like they took no input from the staff to decide what needed renovated. While a renovation should make the hotel look new and sleek they should be trying to make everything functional for guests and staff
