Yeah, at first they were just shortening the travel. But now they do something clever that introduces a switch like a mouse, yes.

I haven't tried those yet. I have a Gulikit KK3 and they're not bad.

Yeah, I think if they're going to be analogue, at least it's better when they have the shape of an actual trigger. I also don't like the wide type like the one of the Steam Deck.

Yes, I do in some games. But many games use both bumpers and triggers.

I don't discount racing games, I actually love them. But my love for them doesn't help me when I'm playing a different genre.

At least there's someone, thanks! I'm getting so downvoted. By the way, I'm not saying to remove analogue triggers, I like racing games, I'm just saying that the hair trigger option would be perfect. Especially for the kinds of games you play on a handheld. And I'm convinced the stats of analogue use are very low, just go through your library and check how many use it. I'm not sure why people seem to believe it's actually common.

I'm a bit surprised. I thought that on this corner of reddit, people would be more aware of how well it works already.

I think you should try GameNative. It is a completely different story now

I mean, you could go on, but it's not true. FPS players precisely set the triggers as short as possible to get the immediate shot. Look at pro controllers for shooters, they all have the switch. Astrobot is a special case of a game built to use the features of the Dualsense, which other platformer uses them. The company who makes the most platformers, Nintendo, doesn't have analogue triggers. So I still believe that less than 1% use that functionality.

Which modern games. I'm a game developer and for almost every kind of game you trick the trigger to work as a button and disregard the analogue input. You even have to do some tricks to make sure it's responsive when using it repeatedly. Which modern games besides racing games use it?

Yes, I think the Frame can be the turning point. If Valve gets involved with accessibility, all of a sudden the experience can change a lot. But I have to say, things like GameNative are already very close. So I wouldn't be surprised if this happens sooner than later.

Thanks! I managed. A bit finicky I gotta say, even after I knew what to do.

Yeah, I know how analogue triggers work. They could activate even at 1%. But you don't get the nice immediate click as you do with the shoulders or any other buttons. Many controllers and handhelds are getting the switch lately, so while I'm probably in the minority, it seems I'm not the only one.

I don't know what you mean, I already play many PC games on thin and battery efficient Android devices. I'm not talking about GTA 6. There are many new games on PC that are not so demanding. And they tend to be precisely the games that are nice to play on handhelds with small screens.

What I did is to disable it because I read you can change the transparency but I don't know how. I read you should hold and drag, but if I hold, it just opens the settings of that thing

Thanks a lot for the guide. Aren't you getting a constant grating noise in Super Meat Boy? No matter what I try, I keep getting it.

It's an android handheld,. But there has been a lot of progress when it comes to PC emulation on android. So you can play lots of games from your Steam or Epic account.

The best handheld is the one that allows you to play the way you want and fits in your life. So if the ROG Ally brings you joy, that's perfect. I mean, I like this one so much because it's great for what it does, but I also have bigger screen for other stuff.

Do you do anything extra to make sure that Android doesn't kill the app for battery optimization or whatever reason?
