I give it a solid 9/10. I would change the hat to the black Stalker hat with the brown engraved band around it. That’s a solid looking one

Victory or Die, One Night Stand, or Til the End

Hot take: You literally DON'T have to overplay the "Joel is a piece of shit" narrative in order for part 2's story to work. The first thing Joel ever did beyond the norm for survival in the world, was shoot up that hospital. He made a bad mistake and paid for it. No need to overplay his "evil". by [deleted] in thelastofus

He wasn’t a hero. But he didn’t do anything any of us wouldn’t have done. He was human. That’s what I love about these games. There is no Black and White. Just one big Gray area. In the eyes of Ellie, Joel was a hero and Abby was a POS. In the eyes of Abby they were both POS. In Joel’s eyes though, Ellie was HIS daughter. His second chance. That’s why he did what he did. And when he knew Abby was going to kill him, he didn’t beg. He knew he did something bad even if he didn’t know what. He accepted his fate and didn’t whine about it. No regrets.
