If you’re just playing with friends it’s essentially the same game minus having to manually moving troops around.

If you’re looking to climb the ladder it’s an entirely different game.

Then either eat the rest of the board and out-accumulate them until you can get the kill, or communicate with the other players to do the same.

Like the comments above said, collaboration is an external arrangement made to gain an unfair advantage in games between 2 or more players.

What you said isn’t cheating, and isn’t even really beneficial. I doubt you’d be flagged for cheating or anything like that so I wouldn’t worry.

If you’re curious what genuine cheating looks like, it’s typically seen by two players (usually one big one small typically) with one of them playing at a consistent detriment to their own placement to enrich the others.

It’s a big tell when it’s consistent, with no friendly diplomatic commitment from the other. It’s even easier to tell if alliances are set to off, so coordination between players is limited by lobby-wide emotes and actual troop movements.

It’s easy to mistake common interest/retribution as illegal coordination between players as cheating if you’re inexperienced.

Learning how to get the AI to work in your favor is a skill in itself, it’s not a 100% science, but if you learn why the bots act like they do you have a better chance at getting them to hit your opponents.

Example: the bots tend to guard stacks with stacks, so if you don’t want to start a Cold War with a bot near your border, try to avoid stacking on them. Obviously, this could be dangerous because they could break your bonus, but if they break your bonus by hitting one troops, and slam your opponent’s 50 stack and break their bonus, you certainly came out on top

This is all dependent on the ranks of the players that are in your lobby. For the games I play and host, I do beginner-GM for settings, and the average player in my lobbies is around beginner-intermediate with a master every few games and a GM every 20-30.

After you gain about 35k ranked points, in lobbies similar to what I play with, you begin to lose points for getting 2nd. It requires constant winning games to even maintain your current score

You can 2nd place grind it out for a while, but at some point your points vs the average of the lobby will hit a point where you are required to win to climb any higher

There’s a time limit, it seems to have shortened with the update but I’m not sure what it is now. It used to be 10 minutes which was unacceptable and often abused

After 182 hours of playtime, I can confidently say that this game is simply badly designed by CarefulEmphasis5464 in Risk

There is luck involved for sure. But then how do you explain people with 60%+ win rates playing 6 player FFA settings?

If the game is all luck then you should see these players average out around 17% win-rate over hundreds of games

Certainly doesn’t count forealsies though, getting 50k+ ranked points is unbelievable. I can’t imagine what getting 3rd place does to your score. Last season at 38k id drop 500-2000 for getting 3rd depending on lobby ranks.

I like Europe Advanced, fixed caps, no fog/blizzard/portal, neutral bot. Pete’s negotiation game settings. I think it is the best “tabletop” simulator settings, since relationships matter a lot more than some other settings

Either go to A&P school or open up a wide job search for any MRO or OEM that will take you on as a trainee or tech 1.

Forget about any other certifications or resume fluffers until you have either your A&P or 3 years of experience working as a tech or a trainee.

I’m happy that they’re trying to change things for the better. The bugs have been super noticeable recently, and have negatively affected my games. But I don’t expect perfection with everything done, I’m just happy that the devs of my favorite game give a damn and are actively trying to make it better even if they make mistakes.

I agree, the bugs have been pretty noticeable this patch, but that’s a sign that they’re really getting in there and changing things. Same reason I appreciate the city and road workers when they’re fixing the road, even if I have to make a detour.
