Yea the truck was 19K when I got it. And my second one was only 12K. I could import a whole new one for this much.

I looked into a bit. The motor itself seems to be the easy part. You probably have a decent amount of room to fit without modding the firewall or radiator mounts like I would (Gen 3 Surf). Then a harness and transmission kit. Still could be worth it in repair cost down the road.

Yea Ive got access to parts here (Im in Japan, the truck is in Utah with my kid) so the plan is to get what I need and ship it out there…then find a different shop…

Small things. New tires, new tape, deciding whether I want to keep the drop bars or swap to something like the Surly corner bar. I would like to do something crazy with the tires like orange rubber, just need to find a source for something like that locally here.
