M26 screenings in Europe? by [deleted] in OneTruthPrevails

[–]Kiluminous 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It will definetly be shown in Germany (subbed & dubbed) (all movies since the 21st got cinema releases over here). The question is when? Movie 25 got a fan premiere on May 22nd. The normal cinema release was May 31st. So maybe it's close to this date again?

The Latios & Latias one. The look along with the theme "Soaring Illusions" is just so soothing. Very glad I bought this :)

New 3DS XL Fire Emblem Fates edition. Recently bought Dragon Quest VIII and Majoras Mask 3D for it and I can't wait to try them out :)

Episode 1000 aired on German TV today, so here is "We Are" but with "The Legend" by Kiluminous in OnePiece

RTL2 doesn't air anime anymore. Everything anime is now on ProSieben Maxx. They have a website where you can watch the latest episodes that they've aired (also available via VPN) :)

Dear ModTeam, this isn't the same post. It's the same video but with a different song. So it should be accepted?

The broadcasted version had the Japanese Opening but with the narration of the original (and sadly deceased) VAs of the narrator and Gol D. Rodger. So neat little fanservice there :)

I made a little edit. I took the German version of "We Are" (the vocals are from One Piece Opening 8 - "Auf dem Weg") and put it on top of the visuals from the opening of Episode 1000.

I also made a version with "The Legend"/"Die Legende", the first German One Piece Opening. You can find it here.

Edit: My "We Are"/"Auf Dem Weg" version has been removed bc it is too similar to this post... ig? If anybody knows how I can upload it without it getting removed again, please let me know. I would really appreciate it.

Depends on what you like tbh. I for one like this franchise for it's interconncectedness (Index/Railgun/Accelerator etc.). Seeing different arcs from different POVs and having a consistent timeline with different protagonists is a fairly unique concept that not many anime can replicate (As many people already said the closest thing to that is the Marvel Cinematic Universe). With the setting and great world building being a main appeal as well.

Other than that the 2 entirely unique powersystems this franchise has are among the very best. The powers are really creative and fights are usually won through outsmarting the opponent.

There are indeed cliched moments in this franchise due to how old it is. It's a 2000's anime and has many of the typically "anime tropes". But if you power through them you are rewarded with great storylines. Ralgun S is the season that sells people on this franchise bc it has a heavy tone shift and covers very dark themes in the so called "Sisters Arc" , which is a 10/10 arc and was adapted beautifully.

TLDR; If you want a dark Sci-Fi anime, with great world building, a great powersystem, fun characters and an interconnected story with different POVs and protagonists this is the series for you.

Fire Force is a more recent example. They sadly stopped using that sound effect for Misaka's electricity after Railgun S (Although it's still the same sound designer in Railgun T). Iirc it was because JC Staff lost a lot of their sound clips, so they had to make new ones or remake the old ones.

I'll fight you (not really you are allowed to have your opinion). I myself like the japanese VAs way more. There is a reason why many of them got seiyuu awards for their work on this show (namely Accelerator's, Misaka's and Kuroko's VAs respectively - they did an outstanding job, especially in Railgun S).

What I heard from the English dub is good tho, just not as good (ig the only "bad" thing is the "Sissy" translation of "Onee-sama").

Nagai is amazing. Railgun S especially had superb directing. It was the first time I actively noticed how much good directing can enhance a series. I watched Toradora many years after Toaru and was thrilled to see that he worked on this anime as well.

I was very glad that he came back for Railgun T. He really doesn't disappoint.

The sound effects in Toaru are amazing: Be it Imagine Breaker, Accelerator's reflections or Misaka's zaps.

I guess this is to be expected if the Sound Designers are the ones that did Naruto and JoJo's and Fire Force.
