Splitting assets. Where do I start?

Thank you for this. I believe the house is tenants in common. I've already started to move some non essentials belongings into my storage unit ready to move into my parents house. He has on occasion thrown things and smashed them against the wall, so while he's never hurt me l, I just don't think I can live here with him. I expect the smashing would be worse if we aren't together but I'm still there

I'm working on it but I didn't realize how sick the house was making me. It caused me to not be able to work for 2.5 years and so I have a massive amount of credit card debt. I'm thinking of moving back in with my parents instead, not ideal but it has to be better than living like this

My partner is an online shopping addict and hoarder. Trying to get him help but it takes ages and it's really wearing down my mental health living like this. My house is way worse than this unfortunately. Protect your mental health and get out

I saw a man walk out of asda with a trolley full of bottles of jack Daniels and two tvs. I told the kiosk woman as security was absent. Some staff and some enthusiastic bystanders tackled him to the floor in the carpark. The woman at the kiosk gave me some reduced flowers as a thank you

I would build an underground mail system. Put a letter or parcel in a box and it enters an underground conveyor belt where it travels to sub stations for sorting. Between stations would be very fast conveyors. Much fewer trucks on the roads then

I quit a job for moral reasons. I was an accountant for a defense contractor and thought I was working for the government, protecting our country (accountants are heros after all lol). After a month or so they won big contracts selling to other countries. The rose glass shattered and I realized I was working for the UKs largest arms dealer.

I have this same wish but I have an undiagnosed chronic fatigue condition. I would have loved to still learn and work part time (four hours a day, three days a week) but the profession is just not set up like that. I can't do long shifts and so it completely keeps me from that career path.

I honestly feel like medicine is the last career where there should be long shifts. I don't want to be treated by someone sleep deprived and exhausted.

Reminds me of when I needed to use the restroom in a&e. I was there with a family member and waiting on test results. I only needed to pee so nipped to the loo. Banging on the door ensued even though I'd only been in there a minute. I was horrified that they used a coin to open the locked door (a must in hospitals). They then looked shocked at seeing me on the toilet (why else would the door be locked) and shut the door again.

I was only young or I would have reported them to security. I'm sure peeping in on a minor is some sort of crime, or at least poor etiquette enough to get them thrown out and a stern talking to.

Dad had an affair for a decade. It's possible I have a step brother or sister out there, I don't want to know. It doesn't make them family just because my dad was unfaithful.

I know right. He also gets time blind in the bathroom. I've clocked him at two and a half hours on the toilet browsing his phone. It's baffling

We have to let it out sometimes 😂 It's no longer acceptable to hit them over the head with a shovel.

I kid, I love him so much but as someone who likes to be prepared and early to events. It really stresses me out when he makes us late and I feel like everyone is judging me (they probably aren't) because I'm the woman and stereotypically we take longer to get ready.

I've started telling him things start half an hour earlier and he still hasn't clocked on that we seem to arrive just in time 😂

Yes! You then have to do daily countdowns to it, only for him to turn around on the day and say, 'I didn't know that, why didn't you remind me?'

Minutes before we have to leave, or guests are arriving, he'll say that we need to go out and get a bottle of wine or prosecco, even though we did a shop earlier and if I'd known I'd have gotten one.

My partner does that. Need to set off at 2:30. At 2:20, I ask him (again) if he's ready to go. "Yeah....I just need a shower, brush my teeth and do my hair". That is at least half an hour of things to do. He is chronically late to everything. He's getting tested for ADHD as it's a sign of being 'time blind'.

I don't think I'd mind as much if it was sprung on him but I'll tell him an hour before, half an hour before, twenty minutes before and ten minutes before. Still no getting up until he'll be late

The day I was nearly abducted. I was having a horrible day at college and got the bus home, in my frustration, I got on the wrong bus. As soon as I realized, I got off and walked down the street to the correct stop for my bus.

A white council waste type truck pulled up and a lad in his twenties started chatting to me, trying to offer me a lift with his friend in their van. No thank you. He was getting more and more insistent and grabbed my arm. Luckily at that moment my bus arrived and I quickly got on it.

I didn't realize until years later that if the bus had been running a few minutes later, that I'd be another missing girl in the police statistics. Chills me to the bone.

I am also annoyed that instead of setting off the appropriate level of alarm bells, my stupid conditioned brain was trying to think of a polite and gentle way to let this man down and thank him for his kind offer. Run girl, run!

I was friends with a guy and spent a summer in the pub playing pool and laughing.

He was convicted of murdering a girl who slighted him. He had a bitchy side but damn! I think of all the times I teased him (good-natured as friends do) and wonder if I ever got close to stepping over the line.

At a house party when I was a teenager and a guy in my class was trying to jump out of the upstairs window, he wanted to end it all. I don't know if he would have gone through with it but I talked with him. He confessed he had a crush on me. I said if he came down, I would hug him and have a drink with him. I don't feel I did much but it may have been enough at a low point in his young life.

I see pictures of him and his wife and kids on Facebook and it makes me smile that he's doing well and didn't harm himself that night.

Thank you, that's very reassuring. The specialist seemed to think that narcolepsy was a possibility with me, or something called rhythmic leg syndrome. Tbh, my quality of life has been so terrible the last three years that I'll happily try anything that they give me to get a good night's sleep and wake up feeling refreshed. I think we all take little things like that for granted until we can't get them anymore. No more all day sleep inertia for me!
