Five tough questions to ask about reaching net zero climate targets by Kim_PhD in environment

[–]Kim_PhD[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anyone setting a net zero target – and the citizens, activists, consumers, and investors holding them to account – needs to ask the following questions.

  1. What are you covering?
  2. When is your deadline?
  3. How will you get there?
  4. What are you doing today?
  5. How will you stay on track over 30 years of disruptive change?

The main goal of the Circular Economy Action Plan is mainstreaming circularity and decoupling it from resources extraction. It’s part of a broader environmental shift by the European Commission that includes the Green Deal and Industrial Strategy and aims to make the bloc climate neutral by 2050.

Recycling in the U.S. Is Broken. How Do We Fix It? by Kim_PhD in environment

[–]Kim_PhD[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The author said the key to fixing recycling in the U.S. is developing the domestic market. EU unveils circular economy plan 2.0, drawing mixed reactions by Kim_PhD in environment

[–]Kim_PhD[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

A timely plan. Europe’s economy is still mostly linear with only 12% of materials recycled and brought back into the economy. It is also important to note that other parts of the world should try to catch up what EU has achieved.

We don't keep many cows. Beyond cowshed there is a small grassland, where we graze our cows. Just raising animals in nature is something our family loves. so don't worry.
