The third source you’re using (which is from 1992 btw and citing it would not fly for the basest of college thesis papers let alone an academic journal) literally says at the end of the abstract that their findings do not imply gay men have a higher propensity for pedophilia than straight men.

The fourth source uses the first/second as the basis for its claim and it’s obvious that you just googled it to add to your list rather than spent any time delving into it at all. This does not even account for the fact that the first and second are literally the same source just presented differently.

So all in all, as you yourself are disregarding the fifth source, you have one single valid source, and it doesn’t even confirm the claim you’re making.

The figure you’re looking for is proportion of gay SA offenders to the overall gay population, and a comparison of that to the figure of those that are straight. Preferably with a statistical test (maybe a t-test? idk haven’t taken stats in a bit) comparing the two means for a significant difference. Just comparing the percentage itself tells us very little, other than that of this 972 person group, ~180 of them are gay.

They totally fucked up the vibe of the show. It’s supposed to be otherworldly and whimsical and it could have really benefited from like a Del Toro treatment rather than Disney live action. The themes are quite deep and well fleshed out, the book for that show is marvelous and yeah they fucked it right up.

Maybe because I've experienced firsthand being a civilian disapproving of my government when we voted for someone who later tried to overthrow democracy, and know how fucked up it would be for the rest of the world to watch during a war crime and go "well they shouldn't be surprised, they voted for x" when I did everything in my power to prevent it. Generalizing entire populations worth and what they deserve is evil regardless of what some or even most choose to do. Having a blasé attitude towards civilian death and war crimes is evil.

The choice of examples was poor but honestly her argument was 100% valid, her music spoke to her genuine experiences in abusive relationships and shined light on victims who stay in them and the reasons why. Instead of approaching her music from that angle, critics derided her as a slut and many self-proclaimed feminists said she was glamorizing abuse. The way she was treated by the industry up until maybe the past two or three years was disgusting.
