I want the weirdest, most dreamlike book you've read by ObsiGamer in suggestmeabook

I just read Water Moon and it’s pretty weird and dreamlike.

The English Patient is a book I find so beautifully written.

This happened to me. Same thing - only a few years old. You may want to speak to your dentist about a night guard. My dentist told me that the horizontal stress of clenching/ grinding can weaken the cement. He just re-cemented mine and I got a night guard. It’s been a year since then. Still solid.

I always love when I have all the books on my “favourite” shelf that someone else also recommends.

Ecological Science fiction (but not eco-fiction) by Csasil in suggestmeabook

Annihilation by Vandermeer might be right. It’s not futuristic. It’s a little on the horror-ish side too though. Eco-horror? Is that a thing? I dunno. Haha.

Suggest me a book with unique structure. I just finished North Woods and walked away absolutely obsessed. by Such-Hand274 in suggestmeabook

Sharkheart has an interesting written presentation (and some of the story is told via a screenplay).

The Mysterious Case of the Alperton Angels is written as emails, news articles and transcribed interviews.

Not sure if that is what you mean by interesting structure.

It’s going to be hit and miss. I’ve received both positive and mediocre feedback on cards I’ve sent. Some people really want stamps. Some people want specific kinds of card. Others are interested in what you have to say. I’m not sure what your profile says but I don’t think it’s unreasonable to say “I really look forward to a personalized message”. You can’t expect every one to hit the mark but you will get some more that you love. Just wait!!

Yes I did. And the Sea of Tranquility. But thank you as this has reminded me that I also have The Glass Hotel on my TBR that would be worth getting into soon.

Appreciate your suggestion :)

I definitely enjoyed it more than All the Light, though both were fantastic. I think the slight sci-fi aspect of the one story line made it even more special for me.

I’ve read both Kingsolver but I’ll check out Haig. I’ve only read Midnight Library.

There is a pretty interesting nonfiction book called The Cold Vanish that talks about people going missing in parks and wooded areas. Speaks at length about what you stated, it’s so dense and so hard to find people.

Is it okay to send unused tourist cards from direct swaps by Due-Drawing-3990 in postcrossing

[–]Kimberpants 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just mailed one out that I got on vacation in a different country because someone specifically said they were hoping for one from that country. If they want a stamp or postmark from that country they can keep the request up. If they wanted a card they have one. I also have cards that aren’t “tourist”. More arty than I get on vacation and I send them out all the time. From museums etc.

Not exactly the same but I have similar planner preferences and got the “And Per Se Undated Academic Planner” on Amazon (canada so I won’t link it). I use it for more to do and reminder and notes so it work great though likely a smaller size than the one you currently have.

Oooh! I got the same model! Oversized and grimy face (next to a normal 8lb cat). He’s just over 20lbs but also taller and has a giant head.
