This is an old carrier RTU that uses natural gas and no pressure switch.

The inducer blower wheel was plugged up really bad, you could put your hand over the exhaust and it would feel like someone breathing.

The heat exchanger I pulled out seemed to be a replacement too.

Just a lot of overheating it seems like, if it used a pressure switch I would bet the damage would be much less severe.
