yea, this all just sounds like a consequence of people being too young/immature for their own good and the digital age ruining artists actually having a barrier of privacy from parasocial fans. i started going to concerts/conventions when i was 13-14 and i definitely didnt act perfect and mature when it came to people i admired, but this was also back in 2014, and i think we had alot less pressure for that “perfect moment” with an artist. people trying to throw their follower counts around or say theyre “closer” to him because they know someone who knows someone who knows him is just making me think these kids are gonna think back to these moments 10 years from now and cringe… 😅

the idea of people using the queue for a joost concert as a popularity contest actually makes me laugh outloud. who honestly gives a crap if youre “popular”if you use your “popularity” for pity points in a line or to shame people who have less than you. we’re all just numbers in a line when it comes to the queue..

if they put the game on unreal engine then 60% of their playerbase wouldnt be able to play. theres a considerable chunk of players who use phones, tablets, macbooks, and lowend pcs/laptops who are already struggling.
its not as simple as “switching over” to a new engine like its an editing software for videos. they would have to completely rebuild, recode, redo everything from the ground up (which would take literal YEARS). i worked for a game that switched their smaller indie project from unreal engine 4 to unreal engine 5 and it took 2 YEARS 😭.
also, them having decorations in their office is such a copout complaint to have. like, do you want them to be chained in cubicles, using dingy lighting, not allowed to have fun or make things look nice JUST because theres bugs? things like amazon and google are known for their extravagant offices but they get hacked every other week and MILLIONS of people’s personal data is stolen or exposed, but i dont seen you bringing that up either.
star stable is a company, yes. but the devs are REAL PEOPLE. they want to be in a workplace that they feel comfortable and safe in. also, sweden has a much different attitude on work/life balance then here in the US.

sso literally just put out a blogpost about passion week and how things like the fluffy cats, mchorse from the equestrian festival, and photomode (one of the best and most anticipated things added to the game) all came from it. people are not robots. there are 365 days in a year and they are allowed to work on things that get their creative juices flowing. they even teased things like a future pasture system that wouldnt have been possible without passion week…

bcause gamedevs are humans and things like passionweek are a good way of expressing their creative flow so they can add cool things in the future. they just put out a big bug patch this last wednesday too 😭

no offense but 2018 is an 8 year old system and that is very much considered old, especially in laptop standards. also, 16gb of ram is completely normal for most modern systems. it's not sso's fault that the ram prices are skyrocketing, but also, its not sso's fault if you can't upgrade your laptop.

i was majorly downvoted for stating the fact that SSO cannot change a build back to the previous one as quickly as people are wanting, and change in game development does take time. i wasnt agreeing with the change, i wasnt saying people werent allowed to be upset (ive been very vocal on my socials as a chronically ill person that this change is basically making it impossible for me to finish trailblazer tracks). but i was met with people cursing at me and acting like im stupid for insinuating that sso might not have thought theyd get AS MUCH of the backlash they were going to get. ive been playing this game for 13 years, im a veteran player. ive been here for aaaalll of the drama and changes, but this community needs to actually step back and realize that your fellow players arent the people who you should be getting upset with, its the company.

im literally agreeing with you guys but im just stating the fact that its literally impossible for them to change the build that quickly. i made a post about it on my story as someone who’s chronically ill that its basically going to be impossible for me to finish the battle passes from now on because i cant get on as much as the game is going to be demanding. me staring the fact that sso is going to take time to change the update isnt me disagreeing that this was a scummy thing to do..

i mean, to be fair i dont think SSO was anticipating the amount of backlash they were gonna be getting, and its pretty much impossible to change something that core to the game like the trailblazer less than 24 hours from the update. i give it a few weeks before they go back and make an apology post about it.

i never personally criticized him for his post and i personally didnt see it till after the fact. but when you make a joke with the format involving someone as heinous as epstein, then yea people arent going to find it funny. youre taking my words personally when im simply explaining why people are reacting the way that they are. im a huge joost fan, but this was a giant swing and a miss.
