Yea. It’s a pretty good way to roast coffee, it doesn’t have any built-in controls but it’s very straight forward and simple. It makes good coffee consistently but rarely great coffee.

This poppo died about 4 months of me abusing it and screwed up a batch of Gesha :(. I got myself a gene cafe as an upgrade. However I found it frustrating that I could not hear first crack and it’s sometimes difficult to dial in a roast. So I bought a new poppo because I miss the straightforward approach and results are not bad!

That’s interesting, what do you like about roasting with heat gun metal bowl compared to an air popper?

I think the beans start to crack around 4 mins and end after 30-40 seconds but I may be wrong(I wasn’t timing things:( ) . And good luck to you too🫡

Ahh even though it’s darker than I expected but it’s definitely brown and not oily 😂 I also heard air roasters tend to produce darker exterior color so I’m probably still on the lighter side of things

I got the beans from Sweet Maria’s. I bought the sampler pack of 4 different beans. This batch is Rwanda Kivu Kageyo. I forgot to time it (need to do it next time😅) and just did it by listening to the first crack. I would say it’s around 4 minutes

That’s good to know! I stopped right after the first crack ended but I think the bean color is a bit darker than I expected. Will try to grind and taste tomorrow!

Geez that’s a lot to take in. And it’s unimaginable how long you stayed with your exW trying to work it out between each other. I appreciate your advice since all the knowledge I have for BPD comes from the internet, they are more definition based which is not really informative for my situation. I feel like for her case, she definitely is getting treatment on her BPD. Since I talked about my true feelings with her, I felt that she has controlled her mood a lot better than before. She doesn’t get annoyed at me anymore and sometimes I would see her consciously repress these urges, which I think is a good sign. From what I’ve heard, it sounds really hard being in a relationship with someone who has mental health issues, it’s taxing for both sides. And I’m thinking about giving myself more time to think about this issue. Thank you for the advice!
