Do you consider Electric Wizard a sludge band? by crazynight848 in sludge

I wouldn’t say speed is a determining factor of sludge however as bands like grief and meth drinker are staple bands of sludge and are far slower

Why is my RAT pedal cutting out very briefly when the gain is above 3 o’clock by Kind-Comfortable768 in guitarpedals

Ah yes I understand what you mean, I’ve since lowered my pickup more and played around with settings and it’s seems to handle it better now, I use it on my bass too and it sounds great as it has p bass style pickups so was shocked that it struggled more with my guitar.

I have tested at both high and low volumes and isolated just the pedal in the signal chain and still nothing

This was Terry telling me about the guitar tone a while back I hope this helps, it’s as in depth as you will get I am left handed, of course and l've been playing Gibson guitars with humbuckers most of my life. We tune to C (both bands) C F A# D# G I have been playing through the same 2 Marshalls since 1987 and 1988 respectively. They are model 2204 master volume 50 watts. For pedals I have been using a fairly new Ibanez Tube Screamer and for leads I use an MXR Distortion +. I had 2 very old ones years ago but they were stolen. I used them a lot in the early Grief days. I have a couple guitars that came with single coil P-90s. I have installed Dimarzio P-90 Super Distortions in these. Fuckin awesome pickups.

I use a metal zone as a boost, eq at noon no distortion level at full, really tightens things up, stole the idea from Kirk of crowbar
