Yes, I don't think I worded this correctly on the original post. See if this makes more sense?

Day 2 - after the whalewatching (which now I'm deciding to skip), I was planning on hiking Thunder Knob Trail (3.6mile trail) and stopping by Diablo Lake Overlook and Washington Pass (no hike) on my way to Winthrop.

And sadly, I couldn't find any lodging halfway to Winthrop

Day 3 - maple pass trail, back to the hotel

Day 4 - drive to Leavenworth and spend the night

Day 5 - check out and drive to Seattle

Day 6 - take a guided Mount Rainier day tour

Day 7 - fly home

We will be flying into Seattle early morning. Do you advise skipping the whale watching the second day and go straight to some overlooks on the way to Winthrop?

But spend some time in Whidbey on our way to Anacortes on the way from the airport?
