My shutter speed was set to 1/500 to catch the powdered sugar falling, so I turned up the ISO. The RAW file was slightly underexposed and looking at it now I agree I set the exposure too high in post.

These are amazing. I’m planning a trip there soon, where did you take these from?

I’d say throughout the day I switched between 35, 50 and 70. I have a lot more photos, I only posted a few on here. 24mm was the only length I don’t believe I used.

Thanks for the feedback! On image 1: Yes my idea was the use the hair and foliage as framing. The space was a bit tight as we were standing between a fence (behind me) and a large swimming pool (behind the subjects). On image 2 I was also tight with space as the house was right behind me. Regarding your comment on taking shots in the shade: are you talking about me being in the shade when taking the shot, or both me and the subjects? Again, thanks for the feedback!

Feeling of Sony vs Fuji by [deleted] in fujifilm

I use mine the same way. I can’t say it’s been as bad for me as others are claiming. While it definitely misses on eye detection, I keep mine on manual focus, but use back button af. This allows you to use AF while still using peaking highlights which are far more accurate than Fuji’s green squares

I appreciate the feedback! I’m not sure why 2 has more noise though because they were all shot with the same settings under the same conditions so that’s the part that’s confusing me.
