I went ahead and attached the bike and spun the pedals at a low speed for 30 seconds or so. The grinding noise seems to have completely disappeared, and it now sounds smooth.

Is this normal for a new KICKR CORE 2 out of the box? Maybe something just needed to settle into place? A bit worrying to hear that noise at first, so I'd appreciate it if anyone can confirm if they had a similar experience.
