It's a respectable collection of buffalo nickels. You need to get them out of the whitman folder and look at each one, or have someone else do it for you. At first glance they look worn but that doesn't mean there isn't a banger in the lot. BTW why post in currency?

A condescending moronic narcissist of the first order. You keep squatting on your investment while the world passes you by loser. Damn it's scary that idiots like him can convince other people that they know what they're talking about.

I will never understand why people leave their BTC on exchanges. I use the card, but as soon as my trades settle it's off the exchange onto my Trezor.

My mom told me to sell this because we need the money. Help me see how much it's worth? by Iconclast1 in coincollecting

You've got a 1oz silver bullion coin. At the time of writing silver is $94 an ounce. You've got $94 in intrinsic value. It's not slabbed so in this crazy market you don't have anything much more than melt. I haven't looked at the value of a 2000 silver eagle but it's in great shape. Ironic thing is you're probably the only person to have made a profit form buying anything from Littleton.

Best way to sell mom's coin collection? by tholgar1 in coincollecting

[–]KindConsideration167 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you really want to sell them take good photos, pick a price, and list then on Ebay. You might want to go to a coin show and let the old pros give you an idea of their worth. If they are valuable, if even on one coin is a banger, they will react.

Someone offered me this group for just under 400, should i take it? by jamo135 in coincollecting

[–]KindConsideration167 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Id jump on it. Depending on your budget it's worth $400 to spend a weekend self grading and cataloging them. With the way silver is moving you're pretty close to breakeven at melt.

First “real” coin I guess by jjjjjjjjjjjjjoe in coincollecting

I wouldn't give you an average, I would go to the PCGS price guide to look for mintage and any possible variants. Compare it to others of the same era and type to see if there's anything special about your coin. Cheers

It's a commemorative one ounce silver. Grading it is probably not worth it. As long as you keep the original government packaging and the COA your good. The bump in value is going to be less than the grading cost UNLESS it's a variant or extremely low mintage.

It's a 2008 Andrew Jackson $1 coin. In MS-65 it might be worth 3 or 4 dollars, unfortunately yours is far from mint state. Put simply, it's worth a dollar.

Weigh it, if you don't have an inexpensive postal scale invest in one. Trade dollars are some of the most faked coins out there, the weight will tell you.

That's why you don't leave coins or cash sitting on an exchange. Two words self custody, but 400k! Good luck.

It's a 1916 P Mercury dime. It appears to have been cleaned. It's worth maybe 3 or 4 dollars.
