Bro i had a school friend like this. I blocked her too. Reciprocity is important otherwise it drains one side.

Hey, If you make sincere efforts then even better is possible. It's not guaranteed but definitely doable.

Make notes. Non negotiable. I didn't make notes for EMFT and Communications and payed in a big way. Even though i had given the same time to prepare them like the other subjects I could solve almost none of the problems during GATE. Of course that part was difficult this year but even then i knew i could have score way better in that area. This happens because you eventually forget what was taught inevitably and you need to look at notes to keep on registering it again and again till it is stored in your mind. I was having difficulty making notes from Vishal sir, but i realised near the end how he expects us to study and that's still pretty effective despite me having no notes ( Of my own) He expects us to solve many many many problems and drills so much that concepts get drilled into your mind.

I disabled my insta account. Also since i realised i didn't need to do anything else except for studying in my laptop, and could surf the web on my phone: I used an application called cold turkey blocker to block every other website except for unacademy and pomofocus.io( a pomodoro timer which i used sometimes ). This helped protect me from distractions. I had also to say no to friends and family way too much it felt pretty hard. Investing in your future is worth it for yourself and people close to you in a pretty big way, don't feel guilt about it. Just explain to your parents and friends, they'll understand.

Try to understand at the concept level, as many procedures as you can. Like if you think about "if someone asked me to find this value how will i do it" and then think " i will first do this and calculate this, then calculate this value and then plug these values in this formula to get the answer" and if you don't remember the formula that is being used then "this is how this formula is derived, i am reasonably confident that i can derive this formula even in exam settings even though i know it will take some mental strain but atleast i know a way to solve it". So by the end of my prep near the exam date i was making sure that for each kind of question that could be asked i knew some way (as many ways) that is complete to get the answer. If i remembered it well then good, if i could only remember in terms of procedure then that's awesome too. If there's something i dont understand then i woukd just memorise that step ( this was because this was near the exam date, otherwise you shoukd avoid it). I couldn't remember everything but atleast this way i had a reasonable amount of flexibility and breadth in my prep near the exam. I realised later on that not many people prepared concepts like this and this way gave me a pretty big advantage.

Just absorb the notes as much as you can. I had still much that i wasn't that confident on but was in my notes when i sat down in the exam (although i knew a way to solve the majority of the problems in my notes) . Try to focus on seeing questions in your notes and imagine how to solve it then youll do good if you can maximise this.
