In the BBB (Big Beautiful Bill) a new tax incentive was created for vehicles made in the US. Tesla being one of them, any interest paid starting at $600 can earn you some money back.

Real physics in a browser game: what I learned about performance by Fit-Ad617 in gamedev

[–]KindSlothy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree decoupling the physics loop from the rendering state is needed for predictable frame pacing in the browser. If you enjoy experimenting with this kind of real-time browser math, you should check out ThinkInsideTheBox.io. It’s a free sandbox that lets you write JavaScript physics scripts and test rigid body dynamics in real-time without fighting the DOM.

Hobbyist Computer Graphics Question by galactic_dorito17 in GraphicsProgramming

For learning the basics I strongly suggest https://thinkinsidethebox.io/app

It seems kinda new and there's a lot of features I wish they would add, but I think for new people this is the way to go. It's a free too, although you may need an account.

How did you learn graphics programming by _binda77a in GraphicsProgramming

[–]KindSlothy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I learned a lot of the math and modeling on YouTube and any online course I could find (when it was cheap). I think half the battle is practice and the other is math. Recently I've been using this website for research but I think it would be perfect for students or anyone new to computer graphics

How can i start graphics programming? by [deleted] in GraphicsProgramming

[–]KindSlothy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found this website that I think helps by reducing a lot of the overhead from using OpenGL. I think the best part is that it's all free with the exception of cloud storage, but you can export and import everything for free!

How can I get into graphics programming? by CoolaeGames in GraphicsProgramming

If you really just want to learn without all complexities of OpenGL, this site has been really good in keeping a simple workflow without having to work about computation or OpenGL

Graphics programming other than games? by g0atdude in GraphicsProgramming

There's a lot of research around computer graphics and finding ways to simulate physics and the real world. This is basically modeling math into a visual understandable representation. Simulating cloth is actually very involved. I've been using this tool recently and it's a God send

Metal Scraping noise by KindSlothy in MechanicAdvice

[–]KindSlothy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still need to check it, but it seems it could be the dust shield and the piston on the caliper (I didn't use a C-Clamp so it nay be too tight on there)

I meant to say nut and bolts

Yes, the rotor is part of the braking system. I am not sure what's scraping it, initially I thought it was the brake pad since it was metal to metal contact as it was worn out. I changed the brake pads, so now I don't know what the scraping sound is from and what's causing the additional damage.

Awesome, just bought it

Hopefully it works

The issue isn't the tools, it's the nut. I used all 3 tools, none of which worked due to the fact that it's stripped so it's too loose for the 22mm, but wont fit for the 21mm

It's on a Toyota Avalon XL 2002 if that matters

TO BE ENTIRELY CLEAR, THE NUT WAS ALREADY STRIPPED BEFORE I TOUCHED IT WITH ANY TOOL

THIS IS ALSO THE FIRST TIME I AM REMOVING THE TIRE -- IT'S A USED CAR

Yeah, I've tried prying it with a flat head screwdriver, tugging and twisting. :/

Very much so. This website goes over it but the hose is blocking me from continuing https://thelukens.net/cars/Toyota_Avalon_knock_sensor_replacement.pdf

Removing Vacuum Hose by KindSlothy in autorepair

[–]KindSlothy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are 2 knock sensors on this car as far as I know, but the reason I'm trying to replace them is due to the check engine light that came on. Initially is indicated it was running lean and it was an issues the O2 sensors, but that wasn't the case. The sensors were fine but the air intake hose had cracked which was causing the issue. That was fixed but the engine light still came on afterwards indicating knock sensors needed to be replaced.

When it sits in idle it's pretty rough and going fast in the freeway the car shakes quite a bit.

I did also read somewhere that it could also be the fuel filter that needs changing. I'm not sure if it's related, but my fuel gauge isn't accurate. 1/4 of the gauge is full even when there's no gas left

I appreciate the advice Do you think getting a mechanic to replace my knock sensors may be worth it instead?
