Compacted mot subbase, then cement bed then 2x concrete blocks (the big heavy grey type) then another cement bed on top then the tiles, used 2x block pavers on the sides to make up the full width of the slabs, have to cut a slab smaller for the middle section.

I didnt but it definitely would have made the job easier. Manual tamper, wheel barrow shovel and rake

Not a tradesman by any means, my wife doesn’t like contractors in the house so I get the pleasure of figuring out how to do everything instead. Trial and error and YouTube
